I started to like crypto and being an enthusiast with it lately. I had read many articles around in the internet and found some good attributes regarding on the  different kinds of crypto in the crypto market. And i found out that ethereum is a platform which also supports mostly of the altcoins being introduce by  its mean using ICO. Conducting a project from the crowds budget and in return from the contributions are the giving of tokens instead. And afterwards the tokens will be used in an exchange they prefer to partner with. That is why i am taking credit to ether as best crypto next to bitcoin because of the platforms being used by most of the crypto as well. What do you think? isn't it ether is the best crypto?

Most crypto investors will agree with your opinion that ethereum is one of the best altcoins. No doubt ethereum is a very good technology  but it will not replace bitcoin. There are other projects like Polkadot , Caradano or Binance smart chain which are strong cometitors for ethereum.
Also ethereum supply is not fixed but there will be some very good updates in eth 2.0 which will involve coin burn also.

We'll have to wait a few years to see that 2.0 update finish. I am with when the update is complete then ethereum supply in the market will be fixed and I think it will obviously improve eth coin for the better. Currently, the topic of discussion as an alternative to Ethereum which is experiencing transaction problems is the Binance chain.

if the supply of ethereum coins will decrease then this will also affect the selling value of ethereum coins itself. I hope that happens soon especially regarding the transaction fee issue on the Eth network. The team must also be able to find solutions to solve the gas cost problem. On the one hand, I believe that Ethereum has great potential for investment in the long term and that currently Ethereum is among the closest altcoins to Bitcoin. it is based on the current market capitalization. while BNB and DOT, tough competitors to ethereum.

the post was from 3 years ago and its outdated because eth was the king of altcoins before with no tough competitors but 3 years later many things have changed including eth now have a disadvantage and the real competitors of eth are now have been born but its up to you guys if you are a hardcore supporter of this coin and you still believe on it no problem and besides eth have some advantages left because its value is still holding and going strong but its not a perfect choice anymore for other use case

Ethereum cannot replace bitcoin. both are different concepts. Bitcoin as a transaction and also an investment in the concept of creation. while ethereum as a platform for Blockchain. The ecosystem of ethereum is now so large that people's trust is also high. but to be able to replace bitcoin I think it is impossible and impossible. It depends on what you mean by the word "best"... At the moment both of these cryptocurrencies do not show themselves as the best for example payment... Their blockchains have crazy fees! Although if you look at them as investments that have made huge profits, then yes, they can be called the best!

Bitcoin is down 7% and ETH is down 9%.. it's not possible that ETH will overtake bitcoin because the current movement says ETH just had to follow bitcoin's trend, when bitcoin is down, ETH is down as well.  Let's be realistic here, I understand the hype but Bitcoin will never be overtaken by any altcoin, it will remain at the top.
