I've just sold 2 batches of 100k nxt and my account balance has done down correspondinly, but for some reason in the 'my transactions' window its showing 3 lots of 100k, it says I sent 100k twice to the last buyer but my balance has gone down the correct amount.  Explanation?
I used to have this behaviour with older versions..

I'm hoping it's still safe for me to send coins without them getting lost or something.

As some guys said they were using older version. This may lead to independent forks that will never merge.

Well, guys. Here are some Best practices:

1. Do NOT use very old versions. "0.2.3" can include expired transactions into blocks, which will never be accepted by "0.2.9" leading to independent forks.
2. Do NOT set very short deadline. If a blockchain reorganization happens expired transactions won't be included into blocks.
3. Do NOT send the same transactions twice. The network is fragmented and ur node can lose a message with ur transaction (it's processed only if sent back), but it still can be visible by other nodes. Resend the transaction only if it's not confirmed and expired.

And don't forget what CONFIRMATION are for. 10 confirmations ~ 1 Bitcoin confirmation. Blockchain reorg can happen up to 720 blocks back. If u receive big amounts it's better to check the coins are on ur balance after 720 confirmations.

Can someone explain the time sync fix to me? I know wrong time can stall the client, but how do you fix it? I'm using 2.9. I delete all the other files and restart, but still wont sync. How do i know if my time is causing the problem? how do i fix?
thanks

It's the time of your computer that matters, so make sure thats correct

EDIT: rather make sure that your computer is synchronising with an online clock.

There is a cyan asterisk next to each peer in Active peers. Look at its value.

I keep getting this error:
https://i.imgur.com/FNloJDs.png

And the block count gets fucked up (shows 0 blocks).
Restarting fixes it but it's pretty annoying.

So if the time diff is not zero i delete those peers (click trash bin)? How do i see my time sync amount?

Thx. Keep it running, this error is not critical and will be fixed after we get a stable client.
