So after I watched a few videos where I learned how to create a .bat launcher etc.. I finally launched a local app:
http://imgur.com/Rup9ymu

I am not sure, but I should probably see 4190 in the number on the top right corner (thanks to "bitme").

Any suggestions?  Thanks Smiley

So if the time diff is not zero i delete those peers (click trash bin)? How do i see my time sync amount?

+/- 15 sec frame is allowed

How can I check if i'm in sync? I don't see my own IP in the list of peers.
thanks

ok let me back up a bit.... am i doing something wrong here?  I use java -cp -Nxt.zip Nxt from the directory the Nxt.zip file is in and it says 2.11 running, then craps out at 133 blocks.  I uninstalled java, reinstalled new JRE version, erased all java temp files, erased all NXT files, downloaded the new 2.11 zip and cranked up, same thing.  reboots dont bhelp.  No errors on DOS window.  Anyone help?

Thx for the report. I'll send it to BCNext next morning.

And I guess you arent mining unless you open the localhost web page and unlock, right?

Right.

ok thanks we'll see what they say i guess.  Im intently checking all nxt-related stuff.. with its new features im betting itll go big and want to buy more but freaking coinbase is taking FOREVER to verify my deposit.

If it matters, all my known peers are moving to 0 and into blacklisted

I had the same problem running it on my local machine. Almost impossible to catch up, often getting stuck at a particular block.
Finally, manually copied all 6 *.nxt files from an updated node and put them into the local machine's Nxt directory.
Launch program, and you're immediately there almost at the most recent block.

Nice work CfB supporting the adoption threads all the way. A couple of questions:

- who are the shareholders, all Nxt owners or just the ~100 pre-launch benefactors?
- could you set up a static site for the client (github?), it's getting rough to keep up with the constantly updated version URL's posted here and there.

Unfortunately affected by their bump and dump race, I got tempted to sell some 5M Nxt @ 0.7 btc for each 1M Nxt.
5M got all sold out in 2 hours!
No more Nxt at these dumb prices. I prefer to keep the remaining for when coloredcoin and other features get enabled too. I am sure what will come next Wink

Got it solved, it seemed to be a time difference, I went into clock and told it to update to time.windows.com.

Can somebody send me something so I can start mining?

I'm not sure why it was set up like that.

You only get transaction fees anyway, so its not like anyone is making any money.

nxt blockchain explorer (alpha)

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=1

very naked but fast ;-)
update time is currently 3 min. most important functions should work.
as soon the nodes are more stable i will reduce this to near realtime.
statistics are in work now, will add them tomorrow. some charting is
planed too. if you have more ideas what to add or find bugs, please
let me know.

Whenever i leave the client open for more than a couple hours it suddenly looses all the blocks, goes back to the genesis block and gets stuck there.  Is there a fix for this behaviour?

Assoicated error log
Code:
Exception in thread "Thread-11" java.lang.NullPointerException
at Nxt$Peer$1.completed(Unknown Source)
at Nxt$Peer$1.completed(Unknown Source)
at sun.nio.ch.Invoker.invokeUnchecked(Invoker.java:126)
at sun.nio.ch.UnixAsynchronousSocketChannelImpl.finishConnect(UnixAsynchronousSocketChannelImpl.java:278)
at sun.nio.ch.UnixAsynchronousSocketChannelImpl.finish(UnixAsynchronousSocketChannelImpl.java:198)
at sun.nio.ch.UnixAsynchronousSocketChannelImpl.onEvent(UnixAsynchronousSocketChannelImpl.java:213)
at sun.nio.ch.KQueuePort$EventHandlerTask.run(KQueuePort.java:301)
at sun.nio.ch.AsynchronousChannelGroupImpl$1.run(AsynchronousChannelGroupImpl.java:112)
at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1145)
at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:615)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:744)

When this happens, the only way to fix it is deleting the .nxt files and redownloading the blockchain, but doing this every couple hours is a bit silly.
