@ CFB - is there a maximum limit for a password? Could I use a 1024 character pass for example? (random data)

I'm not sure, u'd better check it.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

There's a free utility called "hash-drop" find it in the mac app store. For my auto-updating mac app client, I'll also be adding functionality to check the sha256 before it's installed.

You rock, Wesley!

For mac users, you can grab the app directly from their website as well.

Just saw trans id: 12835497147525856752 hit my unconfirmed transactions. That's quite a bit of coin, right there. Smiley

All the drama the last two days certainly hasn't slowed things at degex, either.

As a currency with cap more than 1 million, I don't think setting up a dedicate server for downloading is too expensive to be feasible.

Auto update clients direct from the blockchain...this was planned from the beginning...lets just expedite the roll out.

C-f-B?

Aye, it was planned. But now my team doesn't work on the client anymore. Other client devs should decide where to store client binaries.

It is very important to have a functioning client. I see that your team is not working on the client side anymore, but could you please coordinate the development of it? Otherwise your server-side codes will be worthless if the users will turn away from Nxt because of the lack of a usable interface.

It's a decentralized system, the community should coordinate itself. I'll do my best to add all API calls that we need for clients, this is the only thing I'm going to do.

opticalc, QBTC ---

WHY does nxtcrypto.org's download page point to https://mega.co.nz/#!yV5A1BTR!oi33K7WovgccuEHvP05nzggTnxrkZHJbwFmv5tGeXNI

..instead of http://info.nxtcrypto.org/client.zip ...

... and WHY are the hases not published alongside the download link?

They are published, probably in the most secure place.  This information has been given more than once on this thread.

Notable projects 2019: Semux, Dero, Wagerr, BEAM

It came from 4071545868996394636, who apparently got it from 1739068987193023818. Isn't that the genesis account? (am I saying that right?)

In continuation of recent discussion about Voting System and destruction of coins... While we r waiting for the release, we could discuss another moral dilemma:

Should we use power of Nxt network to attack those who attack us? I mean ddosing ddosers / black PR sites and similar things, we won't attack those who don't attack us, of coz...

Yes, this is one of first accounts, who got his coins directly from genesis.

No, of course not, that would be more black PR for NXT and put NXT on the same level as those black PR artists and ddosers.

NXT is strong enough and will shine because of its properties and attract too many people NOT to care about black PR of others.

Hey, that's too easy! Grin

Edit: Well, I'll think of another dilemma...

but freezing would be great in the case of the stolen coins.....as we have been recently having.

If coins are stolen....we can freeze them until a full investigation is completed.

And thieves would not longer have an incentive to steal.
