Exactly. A slight increase in price should be more than enough to profit (if you've managed to invest into ETH at a lower price). It doesn't matter if ETH gets past $2,500 or not, but what matters most is the longevity of the cryptocurrency. Prices don't reflect nothing other than pure speculation. Considering how Ethereum has been up and running since 2015 without censorship or downtime, I believe that it'll be a cryptocurrency that will survive for many generations.

Now that we're in a bear market, you should accumulate as much Ethereum as possible for the next bull market. Things will become exciting for those who had invested earlier, as they'll be able to obtain big profits. For people who got into Ethereum when prices were above $1,000 per coin back in 2017, things will be much more difficult for them. Which is why, it's better to wait until the market is depressed in order to buy Ethereum and secure your investment. Most people have high hopes of this occurring anytime soon. However, given that Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies are so volatile, it's nearly impossible to predict what their price will be in the future. Compared to 2017's ATHs, Ethereum is still a bargain these days. Many have seen this opportunity and have started investing into the cryptocurrency in masses. The upcoming Casper PoS consensus algorithm for Ethereum, should be more than enough for us to get motivated into hodling our precious coins for the future. This is because, prices might start to rise astronomically across the market, due to FOMO from people in the mainstream world. That's the thing, every altcoin fiat valuation hinges not only their own progress but btc value as well.  Saying eth will hit X dollars says little.  I'd be more interested in hearing what people think about altcoins including eth will hit in sats.  That's the true test of coin price rise.  If X coin is $100 when bitcoin is $10k, then it's worth $200 when btc is $100k, most will see a price rise, I see a major loss.  People have to start switching their thinking
