Today, the container shipping industry accounts for around 60% of all the world’s seaborne trade. But this hugely valuable industry has been troubled for years by challenges like overcapacity, low rates, security threats, and increasing environmental regulations.

So how can block shipping overcome with the problems because as you are saying from the beginning there is huge growth in terms of the shipping industry? You couldn't manage to reach the hard cap and you have already extended the ICO but this time you need to overcome your previous problems.

To answer your first question, Blockshipping aims to bring savings to the shipping industry through container sharing and container tracking, which will solve numerous problems including lost containers, or containers being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

As far as Blockshipping's funding, Blockshipping's token sale continues through October. No soft cap was set, meaning that the project will acquire funding by any means that they find agreeable. They are in discussions with investors now, and we expect to the see the project advance as expected.

In case you missed it, Peter and Jesper from the Blockshipping team did an interview earlier last month describing how Blockshipping will not only save the shipping industry billions of dollars, and provide revenue-sharing for token holders, but also reduce CO2 emissions by at least 4.6M tons every year.

An update on Blockshipping:

So far, we have raised around USD 2.5 million, and even though this is far from our original hard cap, this amount of money has made it possible to both start developing our platform and to expand our organisation.

Regarding the platform development, significant progress has been made on the design of the first module of GSCP which is the Blockchain Container Register.

Yes, $2.5MM has been raised so far, but we're not at the end yet!
It takes a lot of information to understand why this is the case, and we don't claim to have all the answers. But many organizations who are holding their token sales now are experiencing similar results. Blockshipping has not set a soft cap, and will press forward, regardless of the outcome.
