never pinged before what are the values to enter I saw the option your talking about but wasn't sure what to enter
If you want to ping 192.168.1.50 for example:
Quote
ping 192.168.1.50

So I want to ping my IP for the s1?
If you're trying to see if its there then yes, I don't know what you're trying to do.

That's what I was trying , so I pinged the address it sent back information seemed like it found something. So the underlying issue is that I'm not mining I've configured the miner but maybe its not configured right  (stratum+tcp://stratum.bit coin.cz:3333 does this look right for the pool info. I'm lost I don't understand why its not working

For those Ant's S1 who are living in Australia, I wanted to find an alternative other than using Corsair.

I wanted to power 2xS1's and from what I read, I needed a PSU that could deliver more than 32amps per S1 if I wanted to overclock it.

As from previous posts on the forum, most people went for Corsairs AX-1200 which I found the cheapest at AUD$350 or RM-1000 for just under AUD$250

Seasonic's were bit more pricey but as most people know they make damn good power supplies.

So wanting something made by Seasonic I decided to get the Cooler Master V1000 from what I read, it is built by Seasonic and it provides a single 12v rail delivering a total of 83Amps or 996watts. This can be picked up at for less than AUD$240

Another option would be to get a FSP Aurum Gold 1000 for less than AUD$220, however don't know how good they will perform.

I setup my miner with a direct ethernet link and it worked fine.  Then when I connect it to my router it doesn't come up on my router config page.  It doesn't seem to be mining. What could be the problem.  I used DCHP for the Lan settings.......
Thanks in advance!

I just got two AntMiner S1s today.  One had a capacitor broken off but it was in the box.  I'm going to try and solder it on later today.

My problem is that no what what combination of my two pools I enter, the miner won't mine on them.  If I do a factory reset (press the button), the miner will mine on/using Bitmain's accounts (and I'm sure they would appreciate that).

I've spent the last two hours looking at websites and I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong.

The miner was beeping and I found that means it was not connecting to the pools.

The miner is currently not beeping so I don't know what that means because it currently is also not mining.

Is there anything wrong with these two pool entries?

Thanks for the suggestion and motivation.

Believe it or not that was not straightforward either.    I did another reset to prove again that it would mine on the original settings.

After multiple entries I did finally get it to mine on BTC Guild.  Something is very strange with those input panels.....

I would still like to see someones setting for eligius or slushes pool so I have some backups.

thanks again.

This is copy and pasted from my Ant for Eligius pool.

stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334

It is the same as yours in your post, so it should be ok. Just make sure you have no white space before or after that info. Try completely wiping it out and typing it in manually not copy / paste as white space before on one of mine stopped it mining

The username should be your BTC payment receiving address. You also have to put a password in but anything from 0 to 9 is ok.

You should be good to go.

Save changes and apply and you might find a wait of up to one and a half minutes is not uncommon to start mining and flashing the green led surface mounted on  each blade. Eligius seems to take longer to mine than my Ants on Bitminter. Sometimes with a new Ant Eligius has taken one and a half minutes to start mining and then stopped after about a minute. Just leave it and it will start again then it may stop. It mines longer each time and then after half an hour it is fine.

This works for me. It may not be getting work quick enough from Eligius or something I'm not sure. Just give it a while.

Thanks.  I know have BTC guild and Eligius pools set up and working.

It seemed to work best for me if I used TAB to move to the next input box instead of the ENTER key.

I might have not been waiting long enough for Eligius to show any work also.

thanks again.
