I betcha someone just anticipates BM #3 in September in book stores on Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, DC; Fifth Ave, NY, Yale, MIT, Penn State, 600 other locations. Once all the senators and professors and students get addicted to Bitcoin there is no telling where it will go.  Wink

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

The daily chart went exponential again.

Continuation of June 2011.

The weekly too has gone parabolic, btw: http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#igWeeklyztgSzm1g10zm2g25zxzi1g

This is the first time campbx has exceeded gox since the rally began.  Normally it trades 25c lower or so.

OK, now I admit it's looking overheated. And we're getting excessive volatility again. And liquidity is for the weak anyway.

I guess five months of sanity was the limit for Bitcoiners. 1, 2, Lollercoaster.

Higher prices are cool, but I'd like it to do a partial retrace for a bit of sanity. However, I have noticed that for whatever reason BTC tends to have these 'leg up' pops that end up being new plateaus of trading.

Interesting times, in any case.

Going up a coupla bucks ain't a rally. It's just the slow growth of a few enlightened people getting what Bitcoin is about. There won't be a rally until something major happens.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.
