Doge is only 3 months old...
The best time for him didnt come yet.
Community is still growing, price must go up finally.

It's simple maths really... 360 million DOGEs are issued daily. At 110 satoshi, 400 BTCs are needed every day to buy the mining supply, just to keep the price stable. At some point, the inflation numbers eat up the BTCs, the BTC investors dry up and the game is over => the only way is down.

When you know that in a year from now, there'll be almost double the DOGEs, and bitcoins will be more-or-less tha same in numbers, it's a no brainer why the Doge/BTC price ratio will go down and down and down.

Thats true, but what about people that invest in coins which will not double their amount in a year, but x100-ple their amount in 3 weeks? And yet these coins are still worth a lot of BTCs.
Please tell me another < 3 months old coin that you rather invest in.

That is only possible due to the very small market cap - where you can throw a few hundred BTCs and buy the entire coin in circulation so to speak. But as the number of coins increase, the rule takes effect and the prices are dilluted.

Take for example Maxcoin vs Darkcoin - issued in the last 3 months and close in coinmarketcap positions.

Maxcoin issues ~276.000 coins per day. At 0.00027 BTC, it takes 75 BTC to absorb all further supply without the price dropping. Even if one applies a 50% hold formula, where the miners hold 50% of the coins and only 50% are dumped, 37.5 BTC are needed daily to keep the price steady.

Darkcoin issues ~12.000 per day. At 0.0013 BTC it takes 15.6 BTC to absorb all further supply without the price dropping. With a 50% hold / 50% dump formula, that is reduced to ~7.8 BTC.

Once the initial spike of interest passed, where the price could be pumped with a very small number of coins in circulation, Maxcoin tanked - despite its publicity. Why? Because it needed too many BTCs to hold it steady.

Cases like Aurora with millions of coins out of the market are "weird" exceptions because there is artificial shortage (for now) - which will make the price drop once this is "resolved".

There is not such thing as investing in an ALT. It's gambling at best.

The large majority of the alts will die within 3 month. Looks at the cemetery of the alts, coins like ZET, WDC, TRC, FTC are strugguling but they all fail in the end.

DOGE might bounce a little here and there, maybe even come back at 200 one day, but in one year time, its value will be around 50 satoshis max.

Sorry but it is the truth.

Would be true if it's marketcap stays the same. But, unlike other alts doge could have a good future. Even better future than LTC imo, and only reaching the LTC marketcap in a year would mean 500+ satoshi price. And then even it's inflation will be less than LTC which would easily keep pumping the price up.

I believe that your predictions are incorrect. The coins you listed are all worthless since day one in a sense, even though they carried a value against btc.

Doge stacks up high against all other coins because it's one of the most widely traded alts, it's traded on most exchanges, it has a personality, it's been recognized world wide, it's been heavy in the media, it's heavy in the community, it's heavy in donations to charities.. all of which caries real value. Real value is easy to distinguish between these other coins that just hold no value.

Don't be fooled by trolls.

HOLD the LINE.

You'll be sorry like a lot of people were when they doubted doge before the second big jump and sold.

The great unknown at this stage is the National currency coins like Aurora or Maza and others awaiting formalities. People seem to like them, Maza probably will be in the top 10 in the next few days (13 now) even so as it is another premine crap. I be absolutely amazed if places like Catalonia (Spain) wont have there one coin before the end of the year. If it is half decent (no premine, sensible number of coins, good algo...) it be a rocket-ship like no other.

The other worrying thing is the ever increasing number of deflating unmined coins like Ripple, Mastercoin, Next, Counterparty, Premine, Blackcoin..... (Blackcoin up almost 3000% in 24h) They should not be listed on Coinmarketcap or at least the Non-mined filter turned off by default.

Its a gamble and i think maza will nosedive, on the next spike up i would sell it. But he, the world is full of surprises who knows.

Do you even know how the market cap is calculated?
First you have the price then you have the market cap.
And people who use it care one bit about the cap and more about the price per coin.
