does dogecoin still has active development like litecoin etc?
if ltc the testbet for btc, why isnt doge the testbed for ltc o.o
development active but is pretty slow - last commit to the dev branch was 3 months ago - there are about 800 forks of DOGE so there is likely some further development on one or more of those. |

This is one of those coins which has withstood the test of time. I still remember the days when mining this coin was not as difficult as it is now. Today this coin is accepted as part of trading in almost every exchange. The price currently is in red but soon this coin is going to rise and shine and we all will make some profits for sure. The thing I like about Doge is, instant transactions, low transaction fees, unlike BTC.
Yes and also from the perspective of maintaining a node, Doge is much better than Ethereum because the bloated ETH chain grows at 20+ GB per month while Doge's blockchain is just 26 GB in total. Another example of the more compact and efficient nature of Dogecoin. You are right of course but you should also keep in mind that Ethereum is doing something completely different. DOGE isn't about decentralized applications. It's not surprising that Ethereum has a much larger blockchain than DOGE. DOGE is good at what it is doing, but it couldn't even do at all what Ethereum is doing. Hard to compare the two, doesn't really make sense. |

Comments like that just drive people to sell more,because it is so unrealistic.Even if DOGE go to 100sat and BTC to $10000,value of DOGE would be just 1 cent.Doge needs expansion,but without active dev team and other markets to absorb vanishing of Chinese market it will be very difficult. |

Saying it is in crisis status probably has been true for decades now. On the other hand we should also acknowledge that the current fiat system is also doing good to all of us, it's not all bad. There might just be better systems based on cryptography, and this is what we will find out very soon. As for DOGE it would be nice to see someone step forward and do a lot of active development. The community has always shown its interest in funding great initiatives and I am sure development would be such an initiative. |
