I am mining at dogehouse at the moment, cgminer say that I am mining with 520 kH/s, but in the dogehouse dashboard I have been pretty constant around 300 kH/s. Is that big different due to pool inefficiency? Is there any suggestions how to achieve a better actual hashrate? Hashrate on any pool site is based on the number of shares you submit. It's never going to be exactly the same as you see in cgminer because of the variance. cgminer knows the exact value, pool only guesses based on shares submitted. Mine varies by +/- 25% all the time. tl;dr It's normal. there's nothing wrong with the pool or your miners. the weird thing is im always down 20% below or so, never up 20% nor 5% Thanks for the explanation metalphreak. I have the same as ricm, I have never seen the hashrate reported by the pool been anything close to the miner hashrate... I guess I am just unlucky with finding shares

when reinstalling the wallet, do you have to delete the C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin folder as well?
no! delete everything in that folder except wallet.dat file. okay, thanks I would also advise you to backup entire folder first! some dumper bots are selling 1 mil at 70 satoshi now missed the quote? anyway waiting for them at 65 What exchange are you guys talking about? It's at 82 satoshies on Crapsy for me. I don't think we're going to see 65 satoshies again. It dipped into the upper 70's on Christmas night, but that's the lowest it has been since it rose from its bottom. Personally, I would buy now instead of waiting. The price always increases on Doge throughout the day and it's very possible we're going to see another rush into the mid 100's like the night before last night. soooo.... we are almost there... now it's time

I guess I am just unlucky with finding shares [/quote] I'm mining on dogehouse also, and the hashrate seems slightly higher (not always) on the dashboard than what I see. Also I see a lot of fluctuations on the overall hashrate, but I think it could be my internet, that is really, really rotten.

Alright so I got a PM recently asking if they should sell doge now and cut there losses.
I thought I would reply here, if you have seen my previous posts recently I said the bottom could get as low as 35, I personally have buy orders at 55 and below as the daily trading is being controlled by bigger players, if you bought in at the over 100 or even 200, then come back in 3 months or put in a sell order that you happy with and forget about it.
I have removed my sell orders about 4 days ago because when this doge rises it will come fast and no one can really predict the top, I know of a lot of services that are coming online for doge that will give it enough value to even go over 800 next year, although my personal value for the coin is around +-350 in the next 6 months. Ofc is Doge Road becomes a huge success who knows what that could be.

Im fairly sure DOGE will not go much below 70 anymore. In long term -difficulty and demand will rise more. Historically it will start making constant higher lows and higher highs. Its just logical mathemathical conclusion. Hype spike is past us. Now its down to profitability. Demand will be major variable, if new shops/services/USD exchanges arrive.

http://pool.chunky.ms1% PPLNS - 60 confirmations - 250 min withdrawal - cloud hosting - IRC - block notifications - scalable architecture - no downtime NO DOWNTIME. I always had to change pools because of disconnects several times per day until I decided to run my own. Now my miners have been stable since we launched. Only 60 confirmations for payouts. Half of what most pools require. Because of rising difficulty and because I know there are a lot of miners without the greatest mining equipment, we've set minimum payout is only 250 DOGE. We also have a very friendly community on IRC.freenode.net in #chunky Come mine with us!

Is that big different due to pool inefficiency? Is there any suggestions how to achieve a better actual hashrate? Usually your effective rate at the pool's end goes up and down around the actual rate your device is working at, because of higher number of shares delivered and conversely higher number of rejected shares. Are you having a very high reject rate? The pools only take into consideration the shares that get accepted, so rejects will cause your effective hashrate to be lower than the actual amount of work your device is doing. Sometimes this happens even on pools that run variable difficulty for shares; you might want to try a pool where you can set the share diff for your workers manually and try going lower and lower for 10-15 minutes at a time until you land somewhere acceptable. Check out the "help" section on multipool.us, as that pool lets you control the share diff manually.

So... I really like p2pools, but altpool.pw hasn't paid out for the latest 8-9 hours of mining @ 1.3 mH/s, and dogepool.net has apparently not had a block in over 48 hours, no payments there either. Give me some suggestions, doges.
P2 pools have a way to low hashrate at the moment. I've seen none with over 1GH/s finding blocks will be very random. Lurkmore has worked for me even though i get much steadier results from MPOS pools like dogehouse.org and fast-pool.com

There are several factors, like the high difficulty (now ~433), the hashrate, p2pool only have ~0,8% of total DOGEcoin hashrate.... Even so, the ratio hashrate/blocks found by p2pool is greater than most others pools. All p2pool nodes are working in the same sharechain, thus you get similar results on every one. I recommend select the node with less ping for you. Remember: my pool url is doge.altpool.pw:19348, not altpool.pw:19348. altpool.pw (without 'doge' before) was my first server, but because high volume of traffic and CPU usage, my hosting provider has restricted bandwith and cpu usage 10 days ago, for this reason, this server redirects all traffic to the new server. I keep this server because some miners still connected. The new server, doge.altpool.pw:19348 is based in Europe and running daemon v1.3. Thank you and good luck! PS: two blocks found by p2pool last 30 minutes 1 2 wow

Well, my reject rate for the last 500 shares are 1-2%... but I am never anywhere close to the cgminer hashrate, even with the rejects taken into consideration. Is this because of the variable difficulty? I guess a lower hashrate is ok in PPLNS, since the shares with higher diff gives higher profit, right?

Its almost at 70 now. I think theres still too many big players with vast quantities of this coin to enable anyone to really make predictions. Even with this difficulty theres people churning out 2 million + doge a day on the pools. If theyve held what theyve mined for a week or 2 they could be sat on 100's of millions and play the market like a fiddle?
