Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Placed my Dogemas at a price of 0.000003 per BTC in Cryptsy. am I dreaming? It will be there in a year most likely aslong as more services come online. The bottom could end up being around 15 and even less before the block rewards halve and even then it might need to halve again before it starts to climb, With that being said Doge is actually holding up incredibly well when you compare it to mooncoin . Like I said in previous posts it could go down to 1 and be one of the most profitable coins to mine because the network hash rate is dropping enough to keep it having good returns. It was a terrible terrible thought out block reward plan for the coin but people need to forget about the price and come back in a year. +1 Meanwhile bitcoin is breaking the 1,000 barrier again because Zynga are now accepting it but Alan greenspan (ex US federal reserve) has called it a bubble, I think his right. Dogecoin will have it's day but when is the real question. I'm buying at the moment. With 22% of the total coins mined out already it's marketcap is very low. Not many Coins are even close to having 22% mined out and this has all occurred in a month basically. Like I say it's held up incredibly well. As soon as people see a price trend going back up you may see a 2nd round buying frenzy sooner than later. Yes, Dogecoin is holding up very well. Look here: http://coinmarketcap.com/ and SORT BY Volume (24h) on top. Dogecoin ranks in the top 10. There's lot of trading going on and very active. And at anytime, new buyers coming from anywhere, could quickly lead to upward prices. On a side note: Ripple is currently ranked directly above Dogecoin in trade volume. I just noticed that Ripple has about 99 Billion coins. So it gives you and idea how Dogecoin will look like at a 2.5 billion market cap which is 2 decimal places. .026 USD would make many happy Shibes.

Zynga started accepting BTC? If theres one company on the planet that i sincerely hope burns to the ground its them! I mean why is a company that targets primarily kids looking to accept payments in a coin with a value of $1000 a go?

Back from New Year's Eve hangover, here is a message from Doge Road: As you may know, talking about Doge Road is banned from this board. So we setup our own forum. If you need any information about Doge Road or want to be involved as beta tester, vendor or help building the site come to http://dogeroadqmu2yzcg.onion/ and get in contact. We can need some help. The marketplace maybe needs 2 or 3 more days and we are ready to go. As mentioned, you will find all status updates at our forums. Thank you all and good luck my shibes. Steve Doge Road Crew

Why mess with something that can give DOGE a bad name. Stop by CryptoAlley.com and list your items for free and receive payment in your favorite crypto including DOGE The site was just launched a couple days ago and there are some test auctions there now, but beginning today you will start to see real items for sale with digital currency as the means of exchange. This is a real world application for people to enhance the value of many cryptos. Show the world that crypto is a good thing instead of a way to launder money and obtain illegal goods.

I think his point is valid and belongs in this thread.

Hard drugs like Crack and Heroine are banned by Doge Road rules, if I recall correctly.

CryptoAlley is for everyone, openly accessable, it will populate out to the search engines over the next couple months and gives everyone an opportunity to sell and buy in a familiar format.
