Why haven't the founders done anything innovative given the success?
The founders didn't get rich. Jackson is a smuck who hated cryptocurrency the entire time he was doing dogecoin. Billy is a nice guy, but he wasn't some market wiz. I don't know much about the history of the DOGE coin but, didn't they pre-mined the DOGEcoin? If they did they would have been sitting on a pretty good chunk of money IMO. If there is a premine, this is the reason for hard drops, part of market manipulation probably. But i expect they do not own enough of them any more, to pull the price further. If they own some of the coins yet, they can damp a rising market price, and this is ok in my opinion. A stable coin is my goal, not the profit.

No from what I recall they did not pre-mine DOGE, it was announced they would launch it at a particular date and they did just that, they all mining started simultaneously. If anybody has better information, please post here and correct me. Thank you. Why haven't the founders done anything innovative given the success?

Fine... I'll make a more constructive post to give DOGE bumps with then..
Yeah.. DOGE is a very old coin and NOT a scam.. Not premined.. Helped put crypto on the map back in the day.. Did a lot of good for public exposure of all crypto.. Possibly the absolute best coin for small transactions and fast transactions with one of it's only drawbacks being no coin cap, therefore infinite inflation.. A great coin to introduce noobs to crypto with.. Give em some DOGE and let them play with sending transactions around..
This coin is special because it is one of the few survivors out of the early altcoins.. I would even consider it on-par with coins like LTC as far as importance in the history of cryptocurrency..
Actually, finding out about an aquaintence making profits trading DOGECoin is what got me interested in crypto in the first place, and is probably the first coin I ever heard of other than BTC, and probably the first coin I ever traded.. My first pump, and the first resulting bear market I witnessed..
This coin is special..

Nice post, good to know you were involved with DOGE so early on and it might have been the first crypto you traded. DOGE made it accessible for many to get tips and play on the meme back in the day. DOGE has been listed for trade on Polarity.Exchange https://polarity.exchangeDEX | 1 Satoshi Min Order | ($0.01USDT per order) | Your keys, your coins | No KYC ever The footer link to GitHub seems to be working but the API, Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy links are broken. Quite frustrating to see so many exchanges pop up yet they do not even have fully working or fully functional websites. Who exactly will the end user take to Court if/when the exchange scams them? Where is the Privacy Policy? Where are the Terms and Conditions? How can this exchange be trusted when their website is not even complete?

As the old rule-of-thumb goes, NEVER keep your coins on an exchange. This also helps with much value

Craptsy was the first exchange that taught me to never keep non-trading funds on the exchange. Lost almost 22 LTC and 1 BTC and few other alt though it was not much money during those days but, it did hurt to see them gone lol.

When BTC showing mind blowing performance than there is very rare it could help again to pump this coin. Big FOMO about BTC and people are offloading their altcoins bags to catch this train than I don't think it will show that kind of result again.

Sorry to read about your loss. I was badly stung on that scam Cryptsy exchange too, I lost a small fortune there but it taught me a serious lesson too - never keep your crypto on an exchange unless absolutely necessary for as short a time as possible or only when doing trades then immediately withdrawing. Yea cryptsy was the reason I never kept many coins on cryptopia and that saved me a small fortune when cryptopia was hacked but, I still lost a small amount like 200-300 but not like the crypsty hack. BTW were you the part of the lawsuit against Vern?

No I was not part of the Cryptsy lawsuit, if I remember correctly I found about it all too late and probably would not be sending my ID to liquidators anyway. I lost some low level coins on Crpytopia as well but cannot remember how much, either way will never be sending my ID to their liquidators too. We both learned a lesson, keep your coins off exchanges unless extremely necessary. Sorry to read about your loss. I tried joining the lawsuit back in the day but, I was a newbie back then so I was not keeping a ledger about which coin I bought and for how much $ so in the end, I decided to skip the lawsuit entirely.

Well, it was a long time ago now so thankfully we all managed to accept the loss and move on. I hope that scammer Vern gets what he deserves, one day the authorities will catch up with him and he will get jail time. True. Hello, can you tell me where is the Dogecoin's road mow I can't find it on the official website I could be wrong but I don't think DOGE coin has a pre-set roadmap for the project (at least I couldn't find one). Even on Github, I am seeing the last commit was in Oct 2019.

And this was the last post by the OP (Dogecoin) back in August 2018. I wonder if they have decided to leave this project as is and not to update it any more. Thanks, it was rather late when the update went out last night and basically went to bed, then work, and now I'm here I'm _hoping_ we'll ship a beta soon, we've got some outstanding build issues with the OS X version that are blocking a beta release, but otherwise it's looking fairly good so far!

It is necessary at this stage whether OP is active or not into this thread. This is community driven coin and they are posting updates time to time on social media channels. Dogecoin is moving forward so nice so that from my point of view community don't care about this anymore.
