I am smiling as I write because DOGE has reached $0.31 a few minutes ago. Nobody in their right mind would have seen that coming a week ago

Well its doing a great job but it still just a pump/dump coin. Wondering how long they can keep it this high.

Dogecoin is up to 5th place by market cap now and trading at $0.377 but the price needs to be $0.53 for it to get past XRP in to 4th place with $68 billion.

It also needs to trade at $0.6036 to have a bigger market cap than Binance Coin at $77 billion, only then can it get to 3rd place behind Ethereum and Bitcoin.

It all depends on how far or how long Elon Musk pumps it.

The crypto industry has exploded this year with investors betting on almost every coin out there. Whether it's Ethereum, Bitcoin, Binance Coin or even Ripple, investors have been flocking to them with most of them being inflated in value. But, I never expected for DOGE to perform this well, and I never considered it a long-term investment. The extent of Dogecoin's PR boost may also hinge on what comes next.

Musk really only mentioned Dogecoin and Bitcoin in his tweets from what I remember and knowing the way he does things I doubt it will be the last time he mentions them. I wonder what is driving this particular Dogecoin pump because I did not read any news articles that could have boosted it.

I know all of us are excited to see what has been going on these past few days!!! Keep in mind its not just Elon tweeting that is doing all this. There are many parts to this wheel. Most interesting is that Coinbase just went public and did very well! Many talks of them listing Doge and it seems stupid if they don't. If and when they do that exposure to Doge will be huge having the largest exchange by active members 3 times bigger than any other. Coinbase could also be the ones buying up now to fill there wallets to prepare for the listing? Awesome times ahead for all of us! Can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming months!

I had to look up my mistake in 2019.... I been transferring coins from the now Defunk Thecoin.pw exchange. I sent 13,000 Doge to what I thought was my wallet... Well just before I had transferred DGB to its wallet and when I copied what I thought was my Doge wallet it still had the DGB address. (Big Mistake) At that time 13k doge was worth $80. today its worth $4600! I still monitor that address cause I am curious, some day someone will or might get that address and have a nice surprise! Makes me cry to think what it will be worth someday though....

Do you have access to your Digibyte private key? I don't know how compatible Doge and Digibyte addresses are, but I would try importing your Digibyte private key into Dogecoin QT.

If the addresses are compatible (very good chance since both start with letter D, and both are forks of Litecoin), you might be able to use the private key to derive the same address.

If you can't recover it, well, take solace in the fact that you probably would have sold it way before the current upsurge in price like many of us did. Because let's be realistic, not many people thought Doge would reach the price it is at today.

I didn't either. I don't follow Reddit, so I'm not sure what's going on there. However, I saw another tweet from Musk today:

the two coins have the same key/address pair, just import the private key from your DGB wallet to a Dogecoin wallet, and you are already the owner

But don't sell them all now, even if this bubble bursts now, Dogecoin worth several dollars in the future is very likely.

I had to did thru the emails to find this again. I had posted on here about a week after it happened. This issue was (I had it flipped) I sent DGB to thecoin.pw, then was trying to transfer doge to my personal wallet. So the private keys were on the coin.pw exchange. I had a couple trouble tickets open and was later told it was not possible. I think Glen said something about the private keys were shared or something like that on the exchange. So it became a dead end. I sent Glen an email 10 minutes ago to see if they still check that email and if so if its possible now that the exchange is shut down? I know a month after it shut down they were able to refund all coins except btc that were lost in the breech. I just assumed this was a lost cause...

I'm sure some have done this and are now laughing all the way to the bank but this might not be the end of the pump even though Doge has cooled off a little. I see a lot still saying that Doge is going to $1 which is what most are waiting for.

I'm sure some have done this and are now laughing all the way to the bank but this might not be the end of the pump even though Doge has cooled off a little. I see a lot still saying that Doge is going to $1 which is what most are waiting for.

A lot are wishing for $1 for this coin and in previous years, we never did think that doge will fetch the current price today of 30 cents. Remember, those doge faucets before giving 100s or 1000s doge each roll? If we only collected and hold. 

But anyway, it is hard to know the future of this coin. As right now, it depends on whether Musk will tweet about doge or not. Is the doge team doing something to take advantage of this opportunity? Like maybe, find a solid use case so they will not rely on Musk for increasing its value in the market?
