I want to make a coin called "KEEP OUT Coin" and the symbol will be [KOC] and I want to make the coin revolutionary in that it pays for textbooks and "educational missionaries" to go to 3rd world countries

So if people decided to buy any "KEEP OUT Coins" or "KOC" they will be funding education around the globe and it will be a force kinda like Christian missionaries but for education instead of telling people about magic people waiting for them in the sky when they die... like the church does

Also I go to the University of Texas and I would like to make a "UTC" if anyone is interested

It would catch on so fast here we already have a pretty solid bitcoin community and that would make it explode

I know someone that knows a little and he is talking to someone else that knows how to code We are discussing the creation of a "University of Texas Coin"

There are no coins for colleges yet so we figured we would be the first

Probably be helpful if there was some meaning behind it and it was backed by the university. Like you can pay for tuition or books or something with them. That could work but without someone backing it, it'll just likely end up being another shit alt coin.

That would be cool but there is no chance of that happening right off the bat so we will have to just create the coin first and tell people they can use their computers to mine for textbooks and tuition by trading for bitcoins and fiat

There is "purpose" I saw a coin called doge coin that looked like its purpose was to be stupid so if you think that being based on UT is "not a purpose" then I don't see why you are even in this section because no altcoin has as much purpose as this one as far as I can tell

And if their were an altcoin thread called "KEEP OUT COIN [KOC] People would flood to it just to see why they have to "Keep out" and to make "Cock" jokes (KOC)

1) Download Bitcoin source code
2) Replace every instance of "Bitcoin" with the name of your shitcoin
3) Compile source, optionally add a trojan to steal people's Bitcoin wallets
4) Premine at least 10% of your shitcoin's total
5) Release on Bitcointalk
6) Shill like crazy under multiple accounts

Where do you get the source code?

And is there a place to find the source code of altcoins?

LOL why are so many spam coins popping up these days. Even I had that same thought looking at the website/logo design of some recent coins like DOGeCoin they can easily spread wallet stealing trojans/miner viruses to early miners with big #numbers/ wannabe early adapters.

Why bother pre-mining? Much cheaper to include a tax, just have every created block send 90% to your address and skip that mining nonsense.

How would that work?
