I think there is a way that we could still do to still survive if the market does not look good and we can try to buy another coin to hold. but this is not recommended if you are confused with the situations because you don't know what the next things that you want.

Always happened that when btc price goes down altcoins will follow, but when btc goes up altcoins will go up to. Therefore some altcoins are only depending on bitcoin price.

Not all the times. Have you remember into those previous years where price movements are not always correlated to each where when bitcoins price soars up altcoins in the market goes down and when there profit taking into bitcoin then investors or traders starts up to accumulate alts then price soar up on alts and btc would go down but now the situation is almost identical where we can saw that profit taking can really happen on both sides which would leaves a very red market.

tbh bitcoin going below the 9k line isnt the first time we hearing about it and as long as we still waiting for btc to breach $20k it will fall and rise above this price range several times before its in safe distance of not returning to come back here.

although btc has decreased but now it is still one of the coins which is predicted to rise drastically in the future. btc now shows a significant increase so the market is recovering.
