Nothing. So you just connect the machine with the router and try to access via browser? Tried to scan the IP again, foung nothing. Could it be a problem that I use a 15M cable? I think that shouldn't matter.

Nop.  Just connect to the router and try 192.168.0.100 in your browser.

Let me know what happens as there are a few ways to try things.

I connected it and 192.168.0.100 doesn't work.

Next step is to plug the unit direct to your pc, set your pc's ip range to 192.168.0.2 maybe and subnet 255.255.255.0 then try pinging to 192.168.0.100 or scan again.  Is the miner light green?

@ NineLives, could you ensure the PC power cable that comes with the miner is UK plug in the future. I am sick of buying a UK power cable after receiving the miners. I got 2 from your, and the 2nd one just arrived. But it is again a foreign power socket.  Undecided

Grrrrrr.  I bloody told my partner to check it too..  I'm sorry dude Sad

Give me his address, I get my cousins to go round his place and kick the crap out of him.  Tongue

Thank you so much! I got in with my Linux computer, but I somehow can't change it to DHCP. I tried it over "Network > Interfaces > Add new Interface" and chose "DHCP Client". Saved & applied, but the IP scann didn't find anything.

Don't add new interface, just edit the one which is already in the miner.

That's OK, I get my family to kick the crap out of your partner.

Btw, I managed to speed up the miner. It is hashing really really really fast.  Grin

I upgraded the firmware.  Cool

The stupid miner fucked up again, so I have to really play with it to get it back to life. I think I can write a book on how to troubleshoot this miner. Also I can sell the firmware, if anyone is interested. With my firmware, the miner temp is very low compare to the original firmware, and it is hashing really really really fast. 270 GH/s - 336 GH/s Grin

Hey man, that looks amazing, for how much do you sell the firmware and do you give support with setting it up?

Few other questions as well, have you upgraded anything on the box (ie fans etc) and have you dismantled the box.

If no then I would be interested as well.

This machine runs at 800 watts from the wall = 8 to 10 GBP in electrcity costs per day

How am i going to make a roi if i buy this?

Your premise is incorrect.

In the UK, electricity costs about GPB 0.16 per unit (kWh), so for your miner drawing 800W, that will cost
0.8 x 24 x 0.16 = GBP 3.07 per day on a flat rate tariff, possibly less if you have an economy 7 tariff, so you will be in profit for some time.
