Well this is a common yet annoying problem in our mining center. (and yes we mostly use windowz!!! viva zalata viva noobes)

Every time we need to restart to apply some os fixes, batches , policies, updates, bla bla. then we have to hook on console to enable the cross-fire as almost every remote display ssh, vnc, .... would not have the option activated. and without cross-fire we only have the first card active for mining.

Any help would be highly appreciated (help does not include suggestion of using other OSes)!

Follow one of the advised dummy plug methods and just run one worker power gpu you'll have less problems and faster miners

I'm still running driver 11.6 the new, ones eliminate the need for dummy plugs and allow 8 instead of four gpus however none of my rigs would benefit from either of those at the moment and the bugs introduced with the newer drivers aren't something i'm going to play with till I build a new rig.

I'm still on 1.6 because of the bugs in 11.7 and 11.8. It is nice to know that dummy plugs will be a thing of the past, just not right now for me.

Correct, I am running 6 GPU rigs under 11.7 without dummy plugs plus TeamViewer with no problems.
