Let me get the software/builds sorted out and up first, then I'll take care of the rest... There were a fair bit of folks who started mining, and I don't want them to lose their work either, so maybe a huge giveaway is the way to go.

Give away 11 million coins? no. Just start again without a pre-mine. Make an ANN as to when the new binaries will be available. Give everyone at least 24 hours notice. Make it a fair launch and the coin will have a much better chance at success. If you want bounties ask people to donate coins for bounties.

Good luck.

edit: I just took a look at the first post and the binaries are still there!? Thought you told us to stop mining. Just accept it, if you decide to keep those pre-mined coins and continue with this blockchain then this coin ain't goin' nowhere...

OK start it again then, let's get on with it and decide so i can either stop mining or leave it running for the night.

If you do premine 1% is the max really. This is good for the coin, devs must stay interested or just walk away and coin dies. It would be good if the coin could pay out that 1% as it is mined really since some premine sell it all off and then walk away anyway.

Reboot this coin. Just start it with no premine and a give a heads up on when the coin mining begins. Then the coin may get somewhere.

lol that's great.  Here's the link.  But you can't use it.  I password protected it.  The coins are mine.  All mine!!! bwahahaha!

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

The best way to keep Molecule from failing is set up a Giveaway Thread and just give away a majority if not all those premine coins to those that are interested. If not then this will fail.
No. It doesn't work. A re-launch starting at 0 without premine is the only way. If the premine is kept, this coin will just always keep the stigma of having been premined. If you want your project to be determined to fail, keep it.

This is the best option.

Create giveaway thread!

Giveaways and bounties don't justify premining.

Disagree -- a giveaway is definitely the best solution, and it can raise interest in a new coin if done correctly.  Restarting is a big fail because it penalizes people who have already started mining -- I can't imagine they'll just restart if you take away all their coins...

I would be one of those people and I don't mind.

Assuming the giveaway is done correctly, it could generate interest...but there are better ways to do that without having to premine it. That's just an excuse.

I'm guessing they accidentally have a password... they're probably logged in so it works for them.

I had to delete my AppData/Roaming/Molecule and it seems to be running in the block 200s just fine.
