It is true that we can earn more money by trading altcoins but compared to bitcoin,  it has more difficulty in recovering after its price go low.  The tendency is to sell it while its hot because it is  very risky to hodl an altcoin. The payment sometimes took very long before it is given to the participants and we known how worried we can be because there are altcoin ICOs that turns into scam.
