How much force can be withstanded for Mine pool?(http://xiv.cipherpool.com)
Depends on hardware, they usually go down when it comes to 1-1.5 GHash and than they order and upgrade and encrease their possibilities at about 5 times.
P.S.: it is only based on mine experience:)

Tomorrow Dec.27th a new client (version 0.8.6.2) will be released . This update is highly recommended although the new version is not mandatory.
With this update of the source and client I consider Xivra ready for an exchange. Of course a new website is in the making to make it more attractive for new and existing users.

Changes : New pnSeed added, Checkpoints and CheckpointData updated, dnsseed added, credits towards litecoin updated, splash screen updated, minor changes where client relates to bitcoin/litecoin. Chinese language files updated on request for Chinese promotion.

Releases : Windows QT and command line client, Linux QT client, Mac OS 10.5+ QT client.

Since there will be a promotion of Xivra in China there will be also a release of a separate Chinese client, identical as the normal client but an updated Chinese splash screen when client loads.

Much needed I feel. We should have 3 clients to start with in my opinion. One in English which we already have, one entirely in Mandarin, and one entirely in Hindi (not just the splash screen). This would be easy to modify/change the text in the qt for anyone who spoke these languages. If anyone speaks these languages then please post the translations as we can go ahead and edit the qt and post another version up. Also if someone doesn't mind spending money you can hire a translator on fiverr.com for $5 who could translate the basic words.

Dear Mr.Axio,

-snip-

Is this legitimate? Did you speak to this person Axio or are they just trying to pump the coin? Smiley.

The client has build in language files for the whole client but something's don't make sense in a few languages and refer to "xxxx coin" and not Xivra as I was told.

Currently I have updated the Chinese language file and will update the Russian, German, Dutch in the upcoming days.

As for legitimate ..  honestly I don't know, but I have been contacted through pm and by email by several Chinese persons (who are way longer members then tomason) .

Although I do not know what the outcome of this will be, it is the reason I worked on the Chinese language first.

Thanks for the reply. I'm an idiot, I didn't know you could change the interface language for the qt wallets! Tongue.
Well then would it be difficult to set Mandarin as default upon download (if you get what i'm trying to say)? If you are Chinese and don't speak English then you won't be able to go to setting > options > change language etc, because you can't read English.

It would be nice to have a default Chinese version with a Chinese splash screen and for someone who speaks it as their first language to post a thread with an explanation and the download in the Chinese section, and on other Chinese virtual currency websites. The same applies to India as there is a growing market there that will likely count towards a large part of the digital currency market.

Thanks for the work so far Axio and everyone involved.

Also, do you have a png file for the logo used on the wallet?

Ah, it's not transparent Sad. Do you have the transparent version? or even the original photoshop file? Smiley. If not then no worries, but it's impossible to work with that as it has a solid white background.

lol, fail. I had a go at making a coin and the quality seems way off and the logo just doesn't seem to fit in my opinion...

I can't do graphic design as you can tell but I though i'd have a go anyway to try and get the ball rolling. Is there anyone here who can actually do graphic design? I'm not sure about the current logo. It would be nice to have a symbol logo in my opinion like $/£/BTC/¥ etc

IMHO logo (X) should be smaller and in gold color (as rest of coin). X may be concave or convex.
The starting point should be a picture without a shadow.

As a variation, you could try to do X red (or gold or silver).

Even better you can try with a vector image in Inkscape.

I'm not a graphic designer. So just I'm just saying Smiley

I'm sorry if I offended anyone meddling

No Premine at all. At least not from developers. The Block Chain started at Block one. There was a User on the pool with a chinese sounding nick in the first few hours, putting in 30 Mh/s or something, mining a lot of the early coins, but he wasn´t the first, as far as I can tell. He must have made a decent amount of Xiv, but not for long, since people jumped on the band wagon fast, myself included. Smiley

btw. Axio you from .de? Guten Morgen Cheesy
