hashing at 380 gh with two Cheesy maybe i should just keep wifi? lol

Really Huh  Very cool, make it so #1,I am #2  Cheesy

You could always "get er done" later  Grin

You got the PSU as stand alone or plugged in a mobo Huh  Should be ok if in a mobo, your not drawing any power off it,just the CPU & RAM & they shouldn't be stressed just running a browser  Wink

Edit:After some thought,I can't remember if the extra 4pin mobo connector powers the CPU or the PCIExpress slots, you may want to either change the PSU or get a 20-24pin adapter as soon as you can.

Scroll down alittle & they talk about the extra 4pins.

I currently have two miners on one 750w corsair because my 500w is 20pin and my adapter switch is for 24pin, is this dangerous right now? Shocked they are both hashing fine.... ~170 each

The 2 pins that need to be shorted on the ATX power supply are in the first 20pin bunch, so the +4 pins are not affected.  I have a 20pin adapter that works on the 24pin.

As far as something to turn on a standalone PSU,I got a switch from Cablez,he takes BTC & ships fast!!!!!!!  Grin

It comes on a 24pin adapter,but will work on a 20  Cool

BTW,here they are  Cool

got two hashing now wirelessly. seems fine with me as long as it works. the one on the bottom left though with the old 500w power supply, does now have the 6 slot pci where I can just stick it in, so I've been cutting the wires from the molex cables and inserting the red/yellow wires into the slots (one slot has a combination of two, heard that helps) and I have been using the thicker of the wires, not the thin wires, I cut them then put them all, I tried turning it on, and saw one green light for a split second, then it all went out. I am not sure how to do the cutting the wires and inserting into the 12v spots Sad but at least i'm hashing a bit.

Maybe your PSU is bad,try another one............ Roll Eyes Molex isn't meant to push anywhere near what PCIExpress can,I know, they give those molex adapters with vid cards, but vid cards don't pull as much wattage as these do.

Also,is it a single rail or multi rail PSU,if you cross the rails on a multi rail PSU they may not "jive" with each,I could be wrong, just thinking out loud  Grin

Nice switch  Cheesy

I just noticed this "so I've been cutting the wires from the molex cables and inserting the red/yellow wires into the slots".....The red wires are 5 volt, that could be the problem...

DO NOT use any red wires, just black (negative) & yellow (positive) wires  Wink

And make sure any wires you cut are not touching anything, tape the ends separately(not together in any way) or hook em up,don't leave em dangeling.........

Hi Gang,
anyone using Ninjapool?
I just hooked up my S1 and as default the thing is humming away. As soon as I enter my ninjapool info its not working. I have pm'd a few admins but maybe the public can help. I know the ninja team is very busy.

I followed the getting started on the ninjapool site.
STRATUM:   stratum+tcp://24.159.196.108
PORT:   3333
Username:   Weblogin.Worker
Password:   Worker Password

I signed up for an account, added a worker, added payment address. Then went to the ip and added the above info into the antminer hit apply and save.
It doesn't show any activity when I click on miner status page. Do I have to add 3 different pools in the configuration section?
What am I missing?
I have a steady green light under the network cable and a steady red next to that with a blinking green on left. Is this correct?
Any help would be great
edit: opened cgminer added command per you direction. performed reboot.
still nothing.
edit 2:I screwed up ip so I had to reset. I hope that didn't change anything other than the way it came. eg. firmware.

When it first turns on and it is set to default  miner config. the green led on the outside of the box is on. as soon as I set ninja pool it shuts off. and makes a clicking noise trying to start fan but it never starts.

this is what cgminer gives me in command line.

Okay, so currently I"m running everything wireless. all three of my miners, my 500psu that I bought at bestbuy was gay at only had one 2x6 pin so I had to unplug the second blade.  I am currently hashing at 180/180/90(bc of one blade)   When I get home, I am planning on cutting down 4 yellow wires (connecting two to one) and cutting down 4 black wires (connecting to two one) leaving me with 3 black wires and 3 yellow wires, then I will be putting that into the screw slot to hope that the  520w +20w than I thought will be enough to power the second blade.

I seperately hooked ethernet to each miner and made them x7, x8, x9, to the three miners respectively, I can log onto them wirelessly, but only through my ip address that gets assigned by my wireless box. Am I on the right track, if anyone could give me any input I'd gladly appreciate it.

Time to time, I have two miners hooked to a corsair 750w and one would make beeping noises, I'd either reset or wait for it to go away, i think it was a net issue not a power issue, but my main plan was to use pci cables for 3 blades out of the 4 on my two miners so it didn't over power the 750w, then on my 500w use the one 2x6pin, and then cutting down the wires to put in the +12v slots, leaving me with a few extra wires to hook to the 4th blade of my second miner coming back to the thought of not wanting to overpower the 750w PSU which hasn't had any issues. The only issue is just that one in a while, it will beep every 5-7 seconds alarming it got off the internet.

Looking good so far but would appreciate any tips/help. Thanks for everything guys.

looks good man.  a tip is get at least 550 watt psu and don't go cheap on psu for miners.  also, bitcoin mining is typically a production environment...you want to have wired ethernet.

As a an enthusiast I would oc them to 375mhz or 392.5mhz
