Forget me for my noobness but how exactly do I compile a wallet from source files?

I'd be up for contributing MEOW to some bounties.

Also, lonestar don't worry about some of these asshats, better launch than catcoin and I like the plans you have going ahead.

Also, it probably would be best to update the original post with some of the things like the ideas and innovation and binary links and stuff so people don't have to comb through all the pages.

You are 1000% right. I will do so now (well, in 5 - I got to have a smokey smoke first) - I mean heck, kitteh's got her damn catnip!!

I would also make note by the pool link that even though it doesn't work correctly right now everyone will receive credit. Don't want people getting a bad impression from the pool.

a BIG 10-4 on that.. although I thought that PPS was now working correctly? Are ppl still getting paid out those crappy 50 per block / not getting paid out? Looks like I'mma have to fork MPOS and fix me some pugs if that's the case.

OR (og plz Gawd - I mean Kitteh) is anyone here a proficient at configuring MPOS?  If you'd be willing to help me I'll happily pay out a bounty for that... anything to save me a bit o time - hoping to get the main website, wiki, and at least DICE and a block explorer up b4 the 26th. I'm crazy, I know. But I'm having more fun than I've had all year Smiley

Hai - you don't need to - go to https://github.com/kittehcoin/kittehcoin

look for a folder called release.  Click on that mofo

Look for a folder that matches your OS. Click it - click it real good.

Download all files therein, store them in a single folder on your computer. Double-click kittehcoin-qt.exe (I'm going out on a limb and assuming you're on Windows.. if you're not, my apologies)

Post back if you still can't get up and running.

My apologies, then Smiley I've become a bit hypersensitive to often-nonexistent innuendo due to way too much staring at the Trollbox. Sometimes I forget that people here are actually smart, willing to learn, and generally helpful... basically the complete, total polar opposite of the mouthbreathers on btc-e...

I am sorry for my own snarky response, Shai. MEOW long and prosper.

what!? no..
it was just a statement that no one have to release a binary for open source software.

knowing how to run 'make' doesn't make anyone special.
but you wrote yourself in the announcement post, that linux geeks can compile without the binary release and we did !

sorry if it looked like offending anyone.. my apology
i love cats, just lost one recently after only 10 years - he was more pretty than kitteh Tongue

was there a precompiled binary for bitcoin at 2009 ?

Meant for Last1212

? Sorry?  I must admit that your one word communication of (scorn/superiority/apathy/display of male intellectual prowess) is going above my head here.

I'm unclear on what you are implying - am I being disingenuous in some way? If so please be specific in you answer.

Are my facts inaccurate? If so please correct me using well-structured information so that I may correct a statement.

Am I beng dishonest? If so explain to me how so I can address it. Dishonesty is not something I like but I have to counter it in myself every day as I square up what I present myself to be vs who I am.

Or, are you among this statement as a meta-communication meant to imply that what I'm doing here isn't worthy of your time because you're smarter, have more life experience that offers proof that my (and others') endeavors aren't worthy of your attention, presented sarcastically so that others will thinks as you do, thereby reinforcing your intellectual entitlement?

I figure any of the above scenarios could be the case, but unfortunately I've met too many people that fall int the latter to retain much hope that your post had any goal beyond the one which I described above.

Please do prove me wrong, however.

Is it normal that I only have mined around 25 MEOW on the Kittehpool with 2600 kHash for ~one hour of mining? Is the difficulty this high?

"It says"? What are you speaking with?  Grin
Take this https://www.litecoinpool.org/calc
  • Enter your kHash/s
  • Enter Difficulty of the last block from http://kitexplorer.tk/ (0.98)
  • See "Expected Time per Block" (35 min for 2000kH/s @ 0.98 diff)
  • Do some basic math to see what you should get Smiley
