Difficulty changes every 360 blocks

hmmm looks like an old design and therefore doomed if a huge miner gets on then jumps off, will break this coin.

Quote
~25,000,000 Million Proof of Work Coins

That means 25,000,000,000,000 coins will be minted. Isn't that pretty high?

Need to have a different diff retarget else diff will drive up high, become non profitable, then the few remaining miners will never get another block.  Feather and cnc nearly died from the same issue.

Only people who have not seen this issue before will mine it and then be sad when its broken very soon.

The message I got from github:

One of our mostly harmless robots seems to think you are not a human.
Because of that, it's hidden your profile from the public. If you really are human, please contact support to have your profile reinstated.
We promise we won't require DNA proof of your humanity.

I think too many people downloaded it lol.
Getting in contact with them.

Disabling the pool for 10 minutes for maintenance. I will investigate the issue.

Btw, network hashrate is quite high being 128MHs and pool's is 43 MHs..

Everybody likes kebab Smiley
Yes agreed Smiley some likes too much...

Because of some heavy demand pool is death. But this can be sorted out mean while as developer requested

I already offered to email a previous poster the windows qt zip if they were willing to send me some turkcoin once they get some mined bc I only have ~70-75khash.
But they never pm'd me.

I am currently mining on the main pool and it only shows me getting half my usual hash rate.

I am fine with the dev releasing it in his native tongue.  I just wish the original turkish post had the standard [ANN] in the thread title. That was the suspect part to me.
All you have to do is push the "translate this page" button in chrome.
You really don't even need to do that...the numbers are there and you can figure out the links.

It was around block 2000 when it was announced here. It got to block 3600 in few hours after this thread created and network hash grew from 2Mh to 200Mh.

Yes i am. I mean there is not any investor or hidden miner outsider. Miners was not turkish people but %90 of foreigners like you! When i was happly miningh 50 khi saw 10 people over 900! All happened within few hours. It's the true story..People saw the thread started mining and all happened today! It's not planned well or marketted well. No need to complain at all Smiley  It's an innocent coin.

Ok. Pool is back. I upgraded the ram of the server. And I dealt with a DB problem caused by MPOS software (https://github.com/TheSerapher/php-mpos).

It's less laggy now and seems to be working OK.

I'll add another server if there is demand.

Btw, I wonder where the huge hashrate in the network comes from...

No serious premining. Refer to post number 35* on the original Turkish thread. When I started mining then the hash power of the pool was even below mine (single 7950 card) Then someone translated the announcement and posted here. All I got with pooled and solo mining in 7 hours is 77 coins.

*: On that post I also advised the dev to announce it in the main english thread so that it doesn't get labeled as premined.

I think you need to check which country this traffic comes and block on firewall level otherwise this is going to be unfair enviroment. We need to create economy not only few but majority...

it could be tr coin, turkcoin and something like that.

so i didnt trust to developers, they seems noobs. if someone will make a turkish coin they should be pro. icon of coin is legit turkish lira. its second bullshit.

its a shame, look and take as an example: Deutsche eMark.

Name is not exact now. There is not even an official website . There is one bounty campaign on going for a different better image. If you have any better idea. You can do. The correct question "will it serve any good?"
you say "tr coin" or "turk coin" some other says different we make poll and decide the most liked.

This coin has been premined by turkish people for one day..
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=387581.0
Good luck I'm out  Undecided

thats true unfortunately.
Stop lying when i was on the pool only 2 person was online. when thread opened pool becaoem 180 and then collapsed. There is only %1 mined by developer for future giveawayas and bounty threads

It was around block 2000 when it was announced here. It got to block 3600 in few hours after this thread created and network hash grew from 2Mh to 200Mh.
I don't see it as big premine tbh.
It is STILL a premine, your title says "(not mined yet)". If you want a coin to be taken seriously, you should launch it at the exact same moment on the turkish section and here.
Everything else is unfair and can be considered as premined.
Thanks.

As a türk, i dont support this coin. name is bullshit. spanish ppl say turko. why should you put a turkish coin name in spanish?

it could be tr coin, turkcoin and something like that.

so i didnt trust to developers, they seems noobs. if someone will make a turkish coin they should be pro. icon of coin is legit turkish lira. its second bullshit.

its a shame, look and take as an example: Deutsche eMark.

Turko is a play on the word "Turk" and I think it is better than saying "Turkcoin". Your complain is like "Turkey means bird in English they should not say Turkey for our country"

Anyway, if someone starts a poll for the name, we can change it.

OP wrote on first post:
"PREMINE =
%0.01 for local testers"

total coin cap is 25 000 000, they mined about 1500-2000 for test

   1500
------------ x 100 = 0.006
25000000

its below then %0.01

its like a tester bounty more like than scammer premine, isnt it?

good calculation yes it's so indeed! It's currently and mainly mined by people who watched the thread there is 3 X 4 X times more pooler then people who writes here. It looks like silent, watching crowds Smiley already agreed and liked and accepted it's good to mine...

Wow I just got 0,8 TRK in 2 hours, pretty incredibly difficult for a new coin.

I got 3 x 3GPU miners pointed each at EAC, CAT and TRK, but I'm not sure if I should keep goin on TRK at this rate.

Should I, any thoughts?

TURKO TRK

SPECIFICATIONS
Turko [TRK]
Scrypt Proof of Work

1 Coins Per Block, Halving every 4 years

Hmmm, smells fishy. I mined 200 cat coins on their first day because they weren't premined. But this? I'm waiting for the block explorer though.

2 Diff is incredible high? rofl cat had higher diff than trk after 1 day

If You mined 200 cat on their first day then You should mine around 4 trk, cat block reward is 50, trk 1. But You didn't even tried to DIG it, right?

why not believe that? just fire up a turkod executable and give getinfo command. current block number is there which means NOT mined further than that.

I wish more people would come and mine with us. I mean we're still finding blocks every hour or so, but it's kind of lonely in there. It's 0% fees and a very low transaction fee now, so I can't see why everyone is mining at that other pool..

Currently, it's not even enough peers to get the necessary number of confirmations to enable payouts from pool.hashfolio.com

I've got most of my Turko's stuck in there and even my wallet stopped syncing yesterday as the two others users probably rebooted and forgot to turn the wallet back on.  Cry

I'd say it's dead already and I take back my offer of KIT for TRK...

Once the difficulty drops down (on only 13 blocks), the delay between blocks should get back from 4 hours to 1 minutes - the retarget is every 360 blocks Smiley

This coin is on a death bed, but still with a chance of getting cured and being healthy again Smiley

Well, until Turko hits some exchange, perhaps look into the marketplace forum thread here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=161.0

Maybe someone is already selling or buying Turko there, if not, then just add another thread Smiley

I've added checkpoints for recent blocks to the code and uploaded new versions of binaries. You can download them from https://github.com/akchecoin/Turko/releases/tag/v1.0 as usual.

Btw, there is a problem in windows which prevents connecting to the Seed DNS nodes. Ubuntu and Mac versions are working as expected. Anyone has a clue for that?

Not dead, but not vibrant either. We have a hashrate of 2.6 MH/s and hashing steadily for the time being.

Guess you should at least start a new topic to be able to update the first post and request from a mod to close this one. First post doesn't reflect the current status of the coin.

Also you can use some graphics designs for the coin that are done here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389267.0
Perhaps choose the poll winner to use in the new thread.

The graphic designs seemed very "national" to me. They look like war banners Smiley I already sent designers some TRKs but hesitating to use the designs. What do you think?

What this coin really needs is the Turkish people..
Takeover is not really necessary if the community will be more big and active,

An active developer will help achieve that i guess

I have no time and I am not even turkish Smiley , but I can donate 200 TRK to the most active promoter in the next week.
Can you use that? as a bounty or a giveaway?

I will double that amount for a longtime promoting plan instead of just temporal hype..
If someone will be very very serious I will consider connecting my rigs again and raise that amount even more!

Just lets see something is alive in here Smiley

EDIT - I think best way to start is to list services needed to this coin and bounty needed in TRK for each one. Then we can start raising TRK for each bounty.
I will donate few 100's trk

I personally think that name of this coin distract people, because it's just for turkey, no one else.
But the worst thing is that You're not active at all.

And here, i've made You logo which doesn't look like "war symbol"

we have website: http://turkos.info
we have block explorer: http://turkoexplorer.info
we have a faucet: http://wegiveturko.info

I will change the logo. New logo seems good to me.

Most importantly, we need an exchange. I'll arrange a bounty for that.
