Guys! Please explain the mixing service & Kimoto Gravity...  Undecided

Mixing is when you send your coins to someone, your coins are mixed in with other coins like in a hat, then the amount you sent is taken out of the hat and sent on. It means there is no way of knowing where the coin was sent from.

Kimoto Gravity is code that adjusts the difficulty of how hard it is to mine the coin. If lots of people are trying to mine it then it will become harder to mine. The harder it is to mine the less coins become available. The less coins available the price goes up.

I think thats it.

You described general way of how difficulty algorithms work, or actually- why.

Kimoto Gravity Well is a special kind of such algorithm. Let me explain- before KGW recalculation of difficulty was one every 10 blocks. It mean, that if you drop a powerful miner for just 10 blocks and difficulty rise to lets say 125, and then remove said miner, then the network locks, because calculating a single block of 125 diff, with little hashpower take ages. Therefore- you had a block time of 10hrs, and all the transactions are trapped until block is solved.

We had this situation before- multipools (powerful miner I mentioned before) were jumping on us every 10 blocks when difficulty was dropping to accommodate low hashpower, and then left us to crack the hard ones for hours/days.

Kimoto Gravity Well on the other hand, work this way, that it recalculate with every single block, and determine the trend of difficulty, then slowly move towards the target. Because of that (my interpretation) you can call it a grawity well- both trend lines are going to meet at some point, and the hashpower of network acts as said gravity- the more power, the faster those wall are collapsing toward the difficulty target.

Modified version of Silver.

I like this one a lot. Kudos Fayens, it's a great design.
Maybe we should make a poll with all the different color variations?

Ok Everything we do has to have a resson otherwise its generic. We are still in the getting the IDEA perfect stage. Asking for graphic design tweaks is annoying for the graphic designer. So lets all agree on the design idea before we ask for a change.

1.Logo in the centre

A.Upside down fedora, Reason, Tipping and a tip of the hat to the old name
B.Upside down top hat, Reason Tipping also its hard to find a good photo of an upside down fedora. Can some take a photo of one on a white background please.
C.Upside down fedora with coins falling in, Reason Tipping, coin mixing and old name.
D.Dollar looking T, reason it looks like bitcoin

2,Font in the center

A.Starwars Reason it looks cool
B.hand writen Reason it looks like a tip jar font

3.Font on the outside

A.Full caps Reason it looks like a coin in the real world
B. 101010101 as decoration with full caps, Reason the 10101s looks crypto

4.Colour
A.Bronze, Reason we have a lot of coins
B.Gold, No real reason but Gold says its worth more
C.Silver, We have a lot of coins but they are worth more then bronze. Dime is Bronze.

5name of the coin is still undecided http://strawpoll.me/1167333/r
A.Tips
B.TipsCoin
C.Tips Coin
D.Tips as an acronym

6 Name of the coin on the outside
A.Tips
B.TipsCoin
C.Tips Coin
D.Tips as an acronym
E. Fedora coin and Acronym
F. None

I like the silver version, but TIPS is supposed to be in great numbers, and not worth a lot for each coin, so I think bronze would be more appropriate.
I'm no expert though, maybe silver is more catchy, and that may matter more.
The design is awesome anyway, just wondering if we need TIPS written both at the top AND under the hat.. Maybe only one is enough?

I think the name of this crypto should be " Fedoracoin TIPS ( as an acronym) and will be perfect,no distortion, but better efficacy.

Fayens logo is awesome, I prefer copper .

Ignore my photoshoping skills haha. Its the idea that I want to put across.

Just the centre part

Tips written in the centre to look like a tip jar font with a fedora hat upside down with coins falling in to represent coin mixing and tipping.

It makes me laugh when everyone talks about a tipping coin... when you tip you use the same coin you use to buy...  Not a different coin.. The idea is its the equivalent of paying cash and then putting air miles points in the tip jar... Why? I know you can exchange air miles for money, that's the point.

It makes no sense except as a fantasy idea... Having a coin focused on one specific exchange of value, one with no counterpart!! (for the legal types), seems completely short sighted (neckbeard)... Especially, when you consider how many cultures don't even tip....

Or how many prices have the tip already included like boat cruises.... The competitive advantage this coin has is the mixer... for now  Wink And then then when people copy its competitive advantage will be as first arrived and established in the privacy field. Then it will be important to stay ahead of other competitors like darkcoin... a coin that will have the same stuff as Fedoracoin but that is better branded, more focused and thus is experiencing a great rise in price... on the day where fedoras releases its mixer no less and it should be the opposite... its up more than Tips.
Darkcoin? Up,Why? Because its not branded a tipping coin, or aka a coin that has no value because you don't buy stuff with it, you buy with something else and then because you don't want to use whats valuable, you use tips? no not good, I personally am here because of my belief in the mixer technology and the dev seems great, thats it and if it wasn't for the mixer I'd move on after dumping millions of coins. Because a tippingcoin deserves to be dumped sorry guys... I have the greatest hopes for this coin that's why I say this.

Every moment is like a falling leaf. Seize the moments within the moment.
