We're discussing implementing + switching to scrypt-jane for the next release. It'd cause yet another hard fork, but also give us protection from multipools as none are configured for scrypt-jane.

It'll also require all miners/pool owners to set everything up again as scrypt-jane is much different to scrypt.

If you want to voice your opinion about this don't post in this thread, join us on IRC and lets talk about it. We're at #TIPS on freenode (or click here to join us)

Oh yeah sorry, I forgot to announce that here, the new 0.56 mac wallet is released on http://fedoraco.in/
Let me know if you have any issues.

Weird, try refreshing the page or just download straight from http://fedoraco.in/files/0.56/fedoracoin-0.56-osx.dmg
If that link doesn't work try changing it to fedoracoin.net, we changed servers recently and not everyone has updated yet.

On the HP:
"OS X 0.43
This build is outdated. You should wait for the newer 0.56 to be built for OS X before updating.
Now comes with a fancy installer! (note: this is a much older version of FedoraCoin, if you can build OS X apps please get in touch!)"

The Download Link worked! Thanks a lot!  Grin Now my wallet is up to date!

ok thank you for the clear explanation. But right now the multipools are getting all coins. I pointed my rig on another coin for the moment. That with the GOX affair, we have a nice black monday today.

Things are different from before though, cudaminer now has scrypt-jane built in and there's an easy to use fork of cgminer that supports it too.

What pool did you mine on? I think there might be some pools still mining on the wrong chain

Nope, same here. Transactions from saturday came through. Transactions from sunday night and this morning have 'disappeared'.

Block explorer is synchronized up to 6th of feb :-(

Edit: also multipool.us transactions that did not come through

Anyone here knows a scrypt-jane coin other than ultracoin? I don't want to touch that sh*t coin. It's just to take a look at how it works with that kind of algo.

Hi, I have few concerns.
1. Why on main page mining pools not listed? how new user should find where to mine TIPS?
2. Please - no scrypt-jane. It will disconnect multipools (with proper difficulty algo they don't make anything bad) - so it will lower Net hash rate, insted of changing pool in cgminer - miners should run another file - it will decrease network rate also. Lower Net Hashrate - lower price.

We have to promote it, first step - add mining pool list on main page - more people will know where to mine, second - lets add it to coinwarz, more people will know about this coin.
