do other altcoin wallets work for you? do you use quark coin and particle coin wallets synchron? i noticed that UPNP may fail if clones that work on the same port run simultaniously...

For me the "official" wallet works out of the box without config. so i think there may also be something wrong on your local side.

cheers,

No block source available : 4 days behind

Couldn't the developers at least release a Wallet that actually works?

This coin is a Particle of Shit

What a waste of time!

Well, let's face it, this wallet works for most people  so I guess it is something in your computer and not in the wallet that is causing the problem.

Since you've checked the firewall, you need to check all other possible sources of conflict.

Do you get any error messages when starting the wallet?

You could try to run a virtual machine inside your Windows and run the wallet from there, it could work if there is something in your installed software that conflicts with the wallet. Not a very simple solution, but it could work.

Thanks Xamda,
I have about 15-20 different coin wallets and they all work fine together.  I have disabled all of them to see if Particle would work, but alas.   This Particle coin wallet was the most weirdest coin wallet because it came as a single .exe file (no .dll libraries) and I'm suspecting that this could one of the reasons. Another reason could be that this is just a half baked coin.  The fact that it works on most computers does not validate this wallet.  In order to make it a fair launch ,it should work on all computers. Indeed, I see from other posts that some other people are having problems syncing too.
I have also ran this wallet on my old XP laptop -- same problem, doesn't sync.

having it statically linked (no additional dlls) or dynamically linked (with dlls) has nothing to do with overall functionality. in fact, i find it rather smart to use static linking as long as the binaries don't succeed a certain size because of it.

Thx for your reply, but other wallets like btc, cgb, mmc, pts, mol, all work fine. Also do not have any other wallets running simultaneously, so that cannot be the cause either... Wallet is official from the OP of this thread.

Hm... from the number of ppl complaining about the wallet...
there maybe something wrong about it, but still it seem to work for the majority. I am not the dev or so...
have you tried manually adding some nodes? like the one of the pool itself?

creating a particle.conf with:
Code:
addnode=prt.coinmine.pl

something like that?
