I'm happy to donate, I just don't understand how to send XCP to an address. :/ .....safely!
Devs, any idea? Also, it would be great to add the donation address to blockscan.com, so everyone could see how much donated and what the balance is.

Something like this would work: C:\counterpartyd>python counterpartyd.py send --from 1Fz5idgemYfsszRMmaQNd2Anvm2JytAoU --to 12J1YFvsWHDCU5HNAWNLNy1Q9nZo8Q4Xgs --quantity 1 --asset XCP Confirm? (y/N) y "0783dd6b65303b54b72cbc632f17f6c13e9e9550f2b3fb96270d997cf85a6dce" Obviously, replace my address w/ yours. Make sure you already unlocked your bitcoin wallet with walletpassphrase, of course. Look for the 1 XCP tip in the next few blocks. And you can track it here: http://www.blockscan.com/balance.aspx?q=12J1YFvsWHDCU5HNAWNLNy1Q9nZo8Q4Xgs

if you put in fees, someone will just fork your code and lower the fee welcome to open source Right now transaction fees are ~20 cents, and the average (American) vocabulary is approximately 10,000 words, so it would only cost ~$2000 for someone to buy every single asset name - certainly, in any case, all the attractive asset names. The fee has to be large enough to prevent this from happening. The Counterparty team does not want to implement fees, but the peculiarity of the circumstance makes it necessary. It also follows, however, that every fork will have this same problem, and thus will also have to implement fees. this is how a monopolist thinks.

Please note that the counterpartyd and counterpartyd_build code has been relicensed under the terms of the MIT license (it used to be Unlicense/public domain before). The MIT license is the same license that Bitcoin itself uses (and is still very much open source). This won't really impact anyone, except for folks wanting to make a fork or use some of the Counterparty code. If this is done now, there will need to be a small attribution/copyright notice placed in the forked code that refers to the original Counterparty team. That's all. More information on the MIT license here: http://www.tldrlegal.com/license/mit-license

The OP says something about the end of the presale. Can the end be predicted more precisely by now? Did someone make an easy description about how to buy some XCP or is the one in the OP the easiest? Is it know how many btc have been burned yet for XCP?

I read about the block. When will that roughly be? And to claim XCP do I have to install the CXP client or is it enough to keep the btc address I sent it from?

Thanks. I read about the block. When will that roughly be?
We are at block 281389 now, so 2421 more blocks to go. A block should be solved every 10 minutes but it probably will take only 8-9 minutes on average. So the burn period should last about 2 more weeks.

I have 10,250 XCP sitting here, where and how do I donate ??
There is now burned total 1341 BTC that is over $1.1 million. BTC donations is $611. It is 0.05% of all burned BTC. Not possible lets raise that at least to $11k what is 1%, before we can donate XCP. If you have BTC to risk and burn for over 10k XCP you have sure one BTC for donations also? If you have lower amount donate what you can. I even dont have, but this donation situation looks so sad, that I sold huge part of my other alts (QRK, MEC,TAG) investments and start and send 1BTC donation. I have enough XCP to pay it back later if this project success and im sure my XCP what i hold have better possibility in long run than my other alts what I just sold. Lets everyone donate at least 1-5% of invested moneys and im sure that pay back later with XCP value. I see someone else also donate after my 1btc donation $83 so we have now donate together total 0.13% of burned moneys. Lets doing BTC donations now and maybe devs have enough money to pay web page developers etc what ever need money to make XCP success! We are looking for community contributions of testing, bug reports, patches, and companion software (e.g. built around counterpartyd). We are also asking for donations of BTC and XCP to 12J1YFvsWHDCU5HNAWNLNy1Q9nZo8Q4Xgs, which funds will be used to issue bounties for the development of the project.

Reasonable preposition, but we need an easier way to send XCP.

We must show for devs we have invest money and want help them build system also. Now there even no have money for wiskey, snacks and beer what go when working with project weeks after weeks

I don't have anywhere close to that much BTC to burn (or donate). Most generous. See my earlier post on XCP donation instructions: Something like this would work: C:\counterpartyd>python counterpartyd.py send --from 1Fz5idgemYfsszRMmaQNd2Anvm2JytAoU --to 12J1YFvsWHDCU5HNAWNLNy1Q9nZo8Q4Xgs --quantity 1 --asset XCP Confirm? No need to install a client or something to claim your xcp later? No, but you need to install counterpartyd to use it. May I know how did you burn your BTC? Nothing burned yet... Is there a simplified version / explanation to this? To invest in XCP and Counterparty, switch Bitcoind/Bitcoin-Qt and counterpartyd over to mainnet simultaneously. Use the command-line switch -testnet=0 with Bitcoind or remove any 'testnet=1' from the Bitcoind configuration file temporarily; then do the same for counterpartyd by both not using the --testnet flag and (again, temporarily) removing 'testnet=1' from counterpartd.conf.
Make sure that Bitcoind and the counterparty server are running, and then run ./counterparty --rpc-password=PASSWORD burn --from=ADDRESS --quantity=QUANTITY, where 'PASSWORD' is the password used to access Bitcoind's RPC interface, 'ADDRESS' is an address in your Bitcoind wallet with sufficient bitcoins, and 'QUANTITY' is the quantity of BTC that you would like to burn.
