This might only mean the bounce will be stronger than the rest or...the coin is suffering liquidity and no interest from new people. I'm pretty sure the price will correct eventually. |

I'm afraid there is too less usecases for Counterparty to fuel big recover  There was many projects which had moved to other (mostly Ethereum) blockchain and that which left doesn't perform very well.. Sad to said this, because Counterparty is old project and deserve our respect |

Since XCP is burned bitcoins, and Bitcoin is "decentralized", "censorship-resistant", etcetera, it's strange that most of the XCP volume still on Poloniex, rather than on some decentralized exchange, such as bisq. On Bisq, looks like the first and last 8 XCP trades were back in 2016, and it's understandable why CP DEX doesn't have much volume. |

I think this could be caused by the poor marketing,
this coin is old, and when it was created there was not many competition in cryptocurrency market.
And XCP is not a bad project, but there are many more with better marketing (not necessarily fundamentally better)

I disover xcp through reading this https://rvnvsxcpreport.neocities.orgSeems xcp is good project but not so well known, besides all coins are down in this bear marke But i think it is very promising, fair project without ICO only have a future. there is real usage on this platform, more than one million transactions plus the possibilitt of asset on Lightning network. This will be a game changer. |

Let me think, maybe u guys expect it to rebuild itself and exhibit the growth out of the blue, or something is really cooking under the hood and it may be something big. Either way I taught myself not to step on the same pile of feces twice especially if its still not solidified. |

Any news on why the Counterwallet servers are down? I know there's alternatives but I was just checking to see if anybody had any info on what's going on.
Counterparty was a great idea, but yeah the truth is it got passed up by a number of projects. If memory serves me correctly most of the original bitcoin burners were pretty salty for years; now they've probably given up on XCP altogether.
It needed (needs) some kind of major overhaul to make it more appealing for the users -- counterwallet has been using the exact same interface for almost 5 years!
With all the XCP I spent registering assets I could probably have about $1000 myself right now instead, but that's the way she goes.

I'll have to read more about what SegWit support entails. I also noticed the following: Warning
Update should be done with at least a week in advance of the hard fork (activation of Segwit is around Jan 7th 2019) as indexd-server takes 2-4 days to sync initially and build all the indexing data (some community members will be providing torrents for downloading the initial synced database to speed up this process). |

I saw the recent glory of this coin that has been climbed to $60 each, but today it is 2usd, i hope that this coin will recover soon, and since that this thread has been started since 2014 this coin is consider as legendary in crypto world.. I'm watching about this project.

$60, really? $60 means Counterparty (XCP) will has its price at nearly half of Ethereum. I don't think XCP can hit this price in the near future; and don't think that it can hit half of Ethereum price whichever price Ethereum has at any specific point of time. |

One more component is price manipulations. Every coin/ token has been manipulated at some points of time. Whales always plan and try to do it at appropriate time. |
