If Counterparty is going to improve upon their horrible record of press releases, simply start with Hyperledger's press releases to use as headline templates:

"Hyperledger On Verge of Merging Blockchain IBM, Digital Asset Code"
http://www.coindesk.com/hyperledger-on-the-verge-of-merging-blockchain-code-from-ibm-digital-asset

For instance:
"Counterparty On Verge of Merging Ethereum, Bitcoin Code"

You don't even have to do anything groundbreaking, just simply tell people that an account was loaded with 100,000 satoshis and a fee charged of 5,000 satoshis to transfer 30,000 satoshis to another account, and you'll be straight.

Update from Robby (Counterparty Founder)

Quote
Regarding Eth progress, we haven't been able to spend as much time on CP this last year. That will be changing in my own end more. There's lots of exciting things in store Smiley

Quote
We'll have a bit of a unique twist on it that works with CP assets, and makes it safer to use on mainnet. Should have good value over a braindead eth port, and many benefits over something like rootstock

That's it!! Let's try to be better than Ethereum without planification!!

Sounds gooood!!!

Let's be serious, the strategy "I dont wanna give interviews cos I just code" is bullshit!

Ethereum is not worth $900M because of its code.

Is Ethereum code 200 times better than XCP?
Is Ethereum MARKETING 200 times better than XCP?

I'll answer it for you

Is Ethereum code 200 times better than XCP?     No!
Is Ethereum MARKETING 200 times better than XCP?    Fucking Yes!

The technology trumps the marketing.
The marketing has short-term positive effects but in the long term it's the technology that prevails.
People will sooner or later realize this.
Bitcoin has no marketing team, just people spreading the word about the tech.
You'll see, when the tech is implemented it will get talked all over the forums and from here it will spread to news outlets.

Price increments are the best marketing team Bitcoin has.
In the long term technology is not that what prevails.
In the long term is technology + marketing what prevails.

If you get your word out right now, it will get talked all over the forums and from here it will spread to news outlets.
+ more people will be coding because they havent heard about this proyect and they are now interested in helping.

You can not say sooner or later.
The sooner the better.

Cliffs:

- In the *long term*, it's the technology that prevails.
- People will *sooner or later* realize this.
- Bitcoin has no marketing team.
- *When the tech is implemented* it will be discussed on the forums and news outlets.

That is true Counterparty probably will be so cool shit that doesn't need marketing Cheesy But I still believe even any kind of guerilla marketing is good. I am interested hear any point why any kind of marketing isn't good for Counterparty?

Does XCP even know what demographic of end users it should be focusing on? Ive said it before, this is clever code with potential written all over it. BUT, the current user base is pointlessly small while the tech is so geeky. Can only see this being positively attractive to tech companies who want a back-end to build something on (like Overstock).
