Not feeling like quoting everyone and replying in-line, so this will be a monologue. Sorry. West's lawyers claim that because Coinye is not inaccessible in the state of New York the damage is *also* being done there. They claim jurisdiction because 'it's in our backyard too'. I do not have any legal rep in the USA, we fear my legal insurance policy only covers costs made in the EU. *I need a US based lawyer and do not have the money or the time to go look for one* Counter-claim did cross my mind. I would need a US based lawyer for that (see above remark). I posted a tweet with my BTC donation address in it earlier, it needs retweets to get coverage. That should me something most users here are able to help out with. I feel that I am being accused of a huge crime while all I did was talk about the people that cleaned up the mess and the fact that it was cleaned up. It's weird that in 'the free west' this is even possible. Don't we go to war with countries you get prosecuted for talking about something? Does anyone else has access to your computer? If yes then they would have to then prove it was you...which there's no f'ing way possible to do that. The only person that knows who said what and when is the person who did it, all else is speculation. If this is the case I would think you can file a motion to dismiss under these grounds (community computer). Their lawyers would have to give the judge a definitive answer why they believe you were the one specifically with reasonable proof to continue this witch hunt. The U.S. law system is corrupt, don't take any chances. The US has more prisoners/prisons than any other country...free country my a$$ |

Hey F1k,
Question, How do they know it was you? Have you admitted anything?
I gave an interview. Also, this is a civil suit, not a criminal case. I will not be extradited, can not go to jail. I can only be ordered to pay a huge amount of USD to Mr. West, that's probably money I don't have. |

Thats a huge claim and the main point of this complaint, I would think they have more then some random twitter morons they cite who have no idea what a crypto-currency is...but who knows.
Did anyone actually profit from coinye? No profit = parody = no punitive damages (i.e. treble damages)
Wasn't the name change's to disassociate from Kanye's claims of being similar? I believe so!
This guy can't take a joke, there's no way you can see this more then just a parody. The fact it might have monetary value makes it that much funnier!

But it can, people just don't have the patience. They got used to the pump and dump scheme. This coin needs a bigger exchange. That's all. A lot of stuff made by community. It's not gonna die. On the bter or btc38's place I would buy a lot of it and multiply my money.
