There have been lots of posts from people who can't withdraw their money from scryptpools.com.  I recently spent some time doing some amateur sleuthing, and it doesn't look good:

Scryptpools generated coins pay to http://dogechain.info/address/DBosmYAzYJ22rFoVETozJ7nXYQLeN7r51d

Each block's payout is split.  The bulk of it (amounts down to the hundreds of thousands) goes to http://dogechain.info/address/D79AecQuo7Zaar19qtAMu6BBe3p5J6oktr
The remainder (amount below hundred thousands) goes to other addresses like
http://dogechain.info/address/DG3C2iFNMH29DD1gy3i8Yv6kg4cCYGPATo
http://dogechain.info/address/DQ8Jhf3S4kzrhtujUoP1NA3dev4uK9FrLM
http://dogechain.info/address/DFkxutVb79wrxMKWzBMyYCcLGbyMmejjFP
http://dogechain.info/address/DME2WKidghaSDpkRRRF6BSGK9Bei5cg2Up
http://dogechain.info/address/DEuZBABgomwf388RHmjY72iaB4Su5jgvZQ

payments from the bulk address  http://dogechain.info/address/D79AecQuo7Zaar19qtAMu6BBe3p5J6oktr are immediately sent to

http://dogechain.info/address/DEJxNoV8Z5XdesBMnxxa4ASwEYxRshvpC6

Some of the doge stays put here.  As of 15:27EST on January 3 this address has 70,000,000 doge.  If I had to guess, this is Phonetic's main storage address or his exchange account address
Payments from this address are combined with large payments from addresses which appear unrelated to scriptpools.
The last five payments from this address:
1.) 2014-01-03 19:11:29 2,400,000 doge was combined with payments from other sources and paid to http://dogechain.info/address/DRSRMuaaYTDCS9FCNVFty3CKtZRsUtTcXL
That combined payment was then immediately paid to: http://dogechain.info/address/DU4wp32x4kvHHqnhPXJ1LnzsS48LedJvbi  This address has over 1 billion doge.
2.) 2014-01-03 08:37:58 3,000,000 doge was combined with payments from other sources and paid to http://dogechain.info/address/DBDLHzTUt3bpAXnaHpzBkDnPkmuhbktFH5
This combined payment stayed put
3.) 2014-01-02 21:35:22 4,900,000 doge was combined with payments from other sources and paid to http://dogechain.info/address/D6dBWcNfTApUtHkiP7mGd7st2KK9N2pAmH
This combined payment stayed put
4.) 2014-01-02 19:11:14 3,000,000 doge was combined with payments from other sources and paid to http://dogechain.info/address/D67cBDy6r6vMW6d5wDbazUb7AYg5PCZGjD
This account frequently pays out large sums to http://dogechain.info/address/DLtM4o5LwjK5RathKZLNHsc6fd9nkRudKj which immediately pays all receieved funds to http://dogechain.info/address/DU4wp32x4kvHHqnhPXJ1LnzsS48LedJvbi
Does that last address sound familiar?  That's the one with over 1 billion doge from the latest transaction
5.) 2014-01-02 18:44:09 3,000,000 doge was combined with payments from other sources and paid to http://dogechain.info/address/D6dBWcNfTApUtHkiP7mGd7st2KK9N2pAmH
This is the same address as transaction 3 above and also stayed put

Again, I'm not an expert, but this does not look legitimate.  I ran this past a few other people, including an admin at another pool, and they concurred.  It looks like nearly all of the doge mined by this pool are being dumped onto an exchange.

It would be a good idea for people to take screenshots of their account page so they can prove their claim before Phonetic pulls the plug.

Phonetic hasn't posted anything here for over a week.  I think that miners with larger amounts of Doge outstanding might be able to get their local authorities to compel Phonetic's web host.  Another option is for somebody to file a claim in small claims court.  This is not expensive and a court order would compel the web host to reveal who pays for the servers that host the pool.  The IP address associated with scryptpools.com belongs to digitalocean, which is a US hosting provider.  If we can find out where Phonetic is located, his local law enforcement agencies will likely be interested, as his total take is conservatively in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Please keep replies to this post informative.  This thread is not the place for you to promote your pool or mock people who lost doge to this scampool  I will update the post with any further information you guys dig up.

Edit 1: A helpful stranger sent me the following information.  The pool's main email is scryptpools@gmail.com.  The secondary email associated with that account is t****8@gmail.com  The helpful stranger believes that the asterisks are 1 for 1 replacements for the actual characters in the address.  That's not much to go on, but maybe somebody has noticed an email address that fits this pattern associated with Phonetic or scryptpools somewhere.

If you lost doge in this scam, please post here or PM me.  Including your location (country, US state) would be helpful.

Update 2014-1-9
I emailed coinedup and crypsty, explaining the scryptpools scam and asking if any of the scryptpools addresses belonged to one of their customers.  Coinedup responded immediately, saying that none of the addresses belonged to a customer.  Cryptsy took six days to respond with a form letter:
Quote
"Our team will review your request and if deemed plausible we will get back to you.
Please know that we receive a thousand requests daily and only those requests that
appear to be workable will be replied to."

Update 2014-1-13
Many thanks to clueclub https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=213761.  He just traced doge he deposited in Crypsty to the same large account where large amounts of doge generated by Scryptpools ended up http://dogechain.info/address/DU4wp32x4kvHHqnhPXJ1LnzsS48LedJvbi]http://dogechain.info/address/DU4wp32x4kvHHqnhPXJ1LnzsS48LedJvbi]http://dogechain.info/address/DU4wp32x4kvHHqnhPXJ1LnzsS48LedJvbi.  It is unclear whether this address belongs to Cryptsy or to somebody who bought the coins through Cryptsy.  Perhaps if some of the other victims ask Cryptsy for information they will be more forthcoming.

Update 2014-1-20
It took hours, but I did a much more comprehensive search through the blockchain.  This was completed on 2014-01-17:

I used the following abbreviations for the frequently used addresses:
     51d = http://dogechain.info/address/DBosmYAzYJ22rFoVETozJ7nXYQLeN7r51d
          Scryptpools' generation address
     oktr = http://dogechain.info/address/D79AecQuo7Zaar19qtAMu6BBe3p5J6oktr
     c6 = http://dogechain.info/address/DEJxNoV8Z5XdesBMnxxa4ASwEYxRshvpC6
     jvbi = http://dogechain.info/address/DU4wp32x4kvHHqnhPXJ1LnzsS48LedJvbi
          Cryptsy holding address. 2.2 billion doge balance
     mxm = http://dogechain.info/address/DSYLEu6N3fjD9tGmJzq3ZBDV1or9cbNMxM
          Likely cryptsy holding address. Possibly a cryptsy customer or investor address. 1.3 billion doge balance

Total moved directly to c6: 119.7 million
Total moved indirectly to c6: .5 million
As of 2014-1/17 2:30EST there are:
   1301028 in 51d
   45000000 in c6
Total stolen: 191801028 (191 million doge).  Please note that Phonetic could have stolen more via other methods before this time, such as keeping generated blocks to himself without adding the block to the pool website.  The only way to know for sure would be to examine the server logs.

I question why none of the mods here have posted his email address or even commented on this? Money funnelling like this, on this scale, he's not the only one involved, and with his address we can search other sites that it may be listed on. His nickname shows up on btce chat logs, for instance.

Too bad we can't explore the block chain with a visual aid, maybe it would help explore where the doge is ending up, similar to this: http://blockchain.info/tree/105867105

I'm pretty sure you'll find most of the doge moving very quickly to Cryptsy's wallet and dumped on the exchange.

I found this in a reddit post, supposedly Phonetic still frequents cryptopools?? user posted a supposed "statement" that phonetic released on their homepage but I can't find it..but if it's true, then phonetic is possibly in bed w/ cryptopool, which is also a known scammer pool.

Quote
So! I heard that there are been rumours about me, the pool, the wallet...

On 31th I woke up, the pool was down (and every others pools hosted on my servers, because yes, I have 6 pools because DOGE's value isn't enough high to pay servers). The problem: the server was running out of space because of a MySQL database creating big logs. There's a load balancing between the web server and the mysql server, this load balancing failed because of the mysql server down, I tried to re-setup everything after making some free space but suddenly, on the web server, all the datas have been wiped (there are backups of the wallets on the others servers but I didn't made a backup of the web files), So I got to re-setup every 6 pools one by one, it took me the entire day and that's why the pool was down. Now look, the network hashrate is 20Gh/s, the pool's hashrate is 200Mh/s, the pool was taking 0% fee and there was not a lot of donations, as I told you, this pool make me lose money, it does not provide me enough funds to pay the servers, so I have to create others pools, it takes me a lot of time to manage every pools, so I just thought 1% fee will be nothing for you and I activated this fee to help me a bit to pay the servers... To the guys who thought I was running with the doges, it's totally stupid, blockchain is public, seriously, ask for a payout, look at the pool address, check on Dogechain.info, I never made any transaction to my personal account... You know, a pool is not a wallet, just set up automatic payout if you're scared, I'm not a bank, I don't earn money, I do this because I love cryptos, I'm not your slave and I'm not a stealer, the pool was down only 1 day and I made everything to make it up as fast as possible and it's still not enough? Seriously, i'm not Google, i'm not Facebook, I don't have employees and I make everything that is in my possible to fix bugs as soon as possible...

If you're looking for scammers just go mining on the others pools with 10% of the networks, they take 1% fee and still ask for donations, they're making thousands of dollars a month and they are DDOS-ing each other because it's just a business for them, it's not the case of this pool, this pool is not a business, it's like a non profit organisation.

not that I would believe any of that horseshit if it was really phonetic saying it.

If you read through the comments on that post it seems as though it's been identified as not being Phonetic.

If your not getting paid out every ~10,000 or so Doge then your in the wrong pool.  https://fast-pool.com, https://www.suchcoins.com, and http://dogep2pool.com:9555/static/ are all legit places to mine Doge and get it at regular intervals. (I've mined in all three pools and switch incase of downtime)

Great work, and thanks to all who are using their resources to help resolve this issue. I'm also stuck with unable to transfer 177762.77921028 DOGE  but I'm not giving up hope. I'm not convinced this was dishonest action, but it taught me a valuable lesson about pool mining.

I'll continue to watch this unfold.

Its obviously super shady, but Im not exactly sure how this constitutes a crime. Just fools being separated from their "fake internet meme-money"

kinda hope this leads to the death of dogecoin

yeah and which criminal safe-haven do you live in that allows internet wire fraud to take place?  Roll Eyes
even a quick google search can tell you that this violates laws in more than one country. specifically here in the states,  this violates  the law and is considered, under 18 U.S.C. § 1343 , wire fraud.

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1343

have a little decency for the folks out there that that got scammed by this guy. there are some who lost over $500 and that is considered grand theft here, also a federal crime.

oh, cute, you tried to make a funny.
anyway, considering the multitude of his victims and the fact that he did indeed transfer these into actual fiat still constitutes a crime. and the fact that he gave his personal details to that stupid t-shirt company to make his designs it would be easy enough for anyone who wants to to track him down.

how about the 50+ victims and accounts that are more than just "screen grabs". it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this shit out. you obviously don't know how a blockchain explorer works, or any of this for that matter,  so you can just go ahead and go back to playing with your shapes and colors :p

sympathy goes out to the 50+.

but again, what proof will you show the federal prosecutors?  esp. when they do not recognize dogecoin as anything with any value, you cannot demonstrate that damage was inflicted on these people.   your recovery would likely be limited to lost electricity.

again, it's imaginary money.  i'm sure the class action lawsuit v. Blizzard for the loss of millions of Stone of Jordans would be on the docket first.

well, noone certainly is stopping you from your speculations.
and that's the way it should be.

you're free to show the jurisprudence that indicates the USA considers Dogecoin to be a currency.

these are the inherent risks of working without the protection of 'fiat' currency, and this is the reason why so much fraud exists in the altcoin culture.  no regulation, no protections.

I got out of there just in time. I feel bad for all those that lost doge. You never know when it'll happen, but look for trouble signs. Some people stayed regardless because they think their loyalty matters while being shat on.

I've been to just about every doge pool and dogehouse.org is the best pool right now. It's only superseded in hash rate by Multipool. Rare downtime and backup port. Minimum 500 doge automatic withdrawals and the owner is available in IRC most of the time.
