Now the hasrate of the net is half than normal on mid-2014 and the price of MED is barely high, its a good time for mining MED again

I'm still mining with several antminer sticks and about 15Gh/s.  Steady and slow wins the race

I checked price on Cryptsy, and last year (at least since August 2014) it was hovering in 300-500 range, so I think prices actually higher now (routinely selling into 600-700 range, and there was a recent spike over 1000)

So someone break down the mining options for me real quick.  I was about to sell 10 Ghs of block erupters but i just remembered MED and was like well what the hell.  Might as well have something coming in no?

Just messing around my bfgminer connects to the szbpool and mines but i can't get to their page to check the stats :/

szbpool have an horrible ping and i have a lot of reject shares and p2pool have more problems than i can manage, wallet hangs every few minutes under ubuntu and is a pain in the ass make a windows p2pool because compiling python

Last week i was trying to make a personal mpos pool in a virtual machine but i have to admit it is too hard for me. I propose to collaborate and make a MED pool, first test it with few miners. I can pay for a vps for 2 or 3 months but i dont have the knowledge it requires.

now at this moment block reward is 20 MED and after ~80k blocks or ~56 days block reward will drop to 10 MED - block 1036800

from beginning to block 1036800 will be mined total ~42 292 597 MED

from block 1036800 to 2073600 reward will be 10 MED for ~2 years and will be mined ~10 368 000 MED

from block 2073600 to 3110400 reward will be 5 MED for ~2 years and will be mined ~5 184 000 MED

from block 3110400 to 4147200 reward will be 2 MED for ~2 years and will be mined ~2 073 600 MED

from block 4147200 to 5184000 reward will be 1 MED for ~2 years and will be mined ~1 036 800 MED

from block 5184000 to 6220800 reward will be 1 MED for ~2 years and will be mined ~1 036 800 MED

as i know after each code update is created checkpoints,.,.,., normal or advanced i don't know - on this question can answer correct smallplatf - MED Dev. I'm not familiar with the details

good idea , because soon block reward will drop to 10 MED, and mining will be harder and harder

i will try to make step by step guide as soon as possible
 the only one problem i have with mpos is e-mail confirmation and i don't know how to fix ,.,and don't have time to play with this.
but public pool is responsible and need time, resource (good server) and good knowledge to maintenance !

from other side - will be good if dev fix social portal, tipbot, Electrum wallet, qt-wallet lookup functions,qt- exchange value .,.,etc.

Dev has been gone for a long time, in fact literally 1 year from today. Med would need a new dev to take over the project.

can you setup a  VMware machine with MED pool with mops.

Download Virtual Box software - https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
Install on you Windows pc.

Download a premade Ubuntu 12.04 Virtual Box - http://virtualboxes.org/images/ubuntu/

Extract ubuntu_12.04-x86.7z

Run the VM

Navigate where you just extracted Ubuntu and double click on ubuntu_12.04.vbox or the .vdi


Change network adaptor to Bridged mode

When the VM gets to the Ubuntu splash screen, hover over the network adapter icon in the bottom right of the VM window and
right click and select 'Network Adapters' then change 'Attached to' to Bridged Mode.
Also change 'Promiscuous Mode' to Allow all and reboot the VM to get a local IP address you can forward ports to.

Log in to Ubuntu
(username/password): ubuntu/reverse
