Doing some reading I see that the wallet needs to be unlocked before you can dumpprivkey. I enter: walletpassphrase "password" 600
and get: Error: RPC server was not started, use server=1 to change this. (code -18)

I updated the QT wallet to the latest version and now I was able to obtain my private key!
The problem now is when I import it into the electrum wallet it says I'm offline and shows no history or balance. What do I need to do to connect?
Sorry Im such a noob lol

OK Electrum->Tools->Network server: 94.156.77.93 port: 59378 protocol: TCP proxy: none circle must go green To work properly Electrum must download blockchain_headers or you will see unverified transactions When start for first time Electrum start downloading blockchain_headers from servers in ./electrum-med (linux) app data/roaming/electrum (windows) you must have file blockchain headers ~100Mb You can speed up process by simply download "blockchain_headers.zip" file from link on top right corner on block explorer http://94.156.77.93 above and extract in your directory http://94.156.77.93/blockchain_headers.zip

After synchronizing for a while it said connected and displayed my full balance but soon after it went back to synchronizing and doesn't show my balance. Is this normal? Will I still be able to send? Thanks again!

I downloaded the blockchain header file you linked to and unzipped it to my wallet's directory and used the server you recommended, however, the file is only 134mb and only 1766015 blocks are shown.

I downloaded the latest blockchain_headers file but it looks as if Im still 99 blocks behind and the wallet is synchronizing. Im assuming it won't take long to sync those last 100 blocks.

Download MEDminer assistant http://medcoin.wixsite.com/medcoin/page3i suggest you to use second generation miner, point to pool http://med.szbpool.net/ and see what's up

I haven't any old asic miner unfortunately. Trying with 2 block erupters, I'm having few accepted shares. When I can, I'll use a new hub with supply and any greedseed.

Does anyone know of a trusted escrow that will handle MED?
for what I want to sell some of what I mined years ago. I'm in the states and there are no exchanges here that deal with MED. With the development team gone and noone promoting the coin it won't be spreading any time soon I'm afraid. Thanks again for all your help. Got a tip address?
