as eestimees say bfgminer v3.9.0.1-med requires mcproxy
and when I point my miner directly to pool with  bfgminer v3.9.0.1 - where is mcproxy ? and stratum ?
I understand things , that- if i use bfgminer v3.9.0.1  i need mcproxy and stratum-mining-proxy
only bfgminer v3.9.0.1 don't work

If you download modified bfgminer (the link on mediterraneancoin.org) then all required scrypt calculations and proxy is coded into bfgminer, no other programs need

so latest bfgminer-med will not require mcproxy

If you mean bfgminer v3.9.0.3 , then OK I agree

you can not use bfgminer from other sources, ok you can but it will produce lot of invalid shares and you get banned from pool..

I just tell you , link and version you provide DON'T work directly with pool   man !!!

     I DL'd the updated bfgminer from the link about an hour ago, Cut and Pasted the http: address from the post into the .bat fine and it worked the first time.

it has been developed specifically for pool mining,
we have a report from at least a user which tested it for solo mining.

if you can post or pm complete log messages it would help to understand the issue.

If I run the runmcproxy jar it will connect to the wallet but submit no shares.
Anyway, I stick with the old one for now.

if you solo mine with second gen bfgminer + wallet, you should invoke bfgminer with -o http://localhost:9372; also check username and password (should be the same of your mediterranean.conf file).
