In my opinion forget the ico. Like people say here, most
Are turning in to scam. I Will choose some altoins and
Put the Money there. Make an recearch regarding the altoins, and dont put all your Money on one altcoin

With this amount that you have and willing to invest in crypto, I will suggest that you invest in bitcoin and some other potential altcoins instead of investing in icos. i advise you should choose a coin for long-term investment. A coin that has been known for a good market reputation and a coin that won't bubble. It is difficult to risk money on things you are not yet knowledgeable. But putting your money on sure coins like bitcoin and ethereum will more certain.

If I were you, I would invest 40-50% in bitcoin and 50-60% in 4-5 altcoins from the top 10. The main thing here is to buy while prices are low. I think that would be a fairly safe strategy.

Would it be wise to invest in Alt coins?

it will be wise if you can choose bitcoin for your investment than the altcoin or ico because bitcoin right now is trying to increase and now it stays at the $7k although we don't know what will happen after this. but as long as you can get bitcoin at the lower price, then you don't have to worry or even if you buy the price now and suddenly, the price is down, you will only waiting for a while to see the price will be back at $7k again. but if you still decide to buy altcoin and ico, then I suggest you research every coin you want and read about the details of the ico so you can find one or two good projects.

First, I would just buy some Bitcoin, or Ethereum, it is still the safest investment in the crypto world. Later you can jump in to other opportunities, when already learned the basics. Just do not rush, not worth it.

I think it is better if you'll invest it in altcoins than ICO especially now that you are a beginner. ICOs are very good but in my opinion it is too risky because first of all it is not yet listed on exchanges unlike Altcoins.
The strong coin like Bitcoin, ETH is down, it is difficult for new projects to develop. Have you seen any recent project token developed after the ICO? |

Right now it is more profitable to invest in altcoins, because it is hard to choose a good ICO for a beginner. I recommend that you choose a few top altcoins and split your $500 among them for lowest risk and highest profit. |

I would do the same thing: stay away from ICOs and invest in good coins with a lot of potential. I would also split my assets between BTC, ETH, and some other tops coins. |
