Anyone else think this coin is crazy cheap at these levels? I understand that there isn't much in the way of utility yet, but still. Any word from the devs?

I say darn because I thought of buying earlier when it was 24 BTC.  Now it is 36 BTC.
If this proves to be a lasting turnaround, the bottom was 20.05 at Cryptsy.

Someone tried to predict the bottom in a previous post.  He came up with 5 BTC. I'd like to know how he picked that number.

My floor calculation is as follows: barring that 42 becomes an accepted currency, it is a commodity with limited appeal.  Mostly, I think the appeal is Douglas Adams fans.  Not having an demographics to draw from, I guessed that the ratio of interest in BTC to interest in 42 might be a million to one.  Given that the ratio of 42 to BTC should approach 42/21,000,000, a 42 might value at 0.5 BTC.

That depends on my wild 1,000,000 to 1 interest ratio though.  Being off by only one order of magnitude could put me at 5 BTC.  Also, there is the level emotional attraction to 42.  Like real currency, some people buy them to collect them.  The number is fairly famous.  This is the ONLY altcoin I prioritize holding although the "quark" name was a good idea. "Credits", "sh1ts", "fux", "florins", "doubloons", "dilithium crystals", "Teradollars", and "thalers" are/would be good names.

Anyway, the shift to a new algorithm should shake things up.

I've been buying a little on the way down. Was hoping for a bottom between 15-18 to load the boat. Let's see what the coming weeks provide.

While we are on the topic of "bottom" and fantasizing about future value, does not the developing PoS (Proof of Stake) plan not mean that future 42 mining will not be proportional to your 42 holdings?

I am not sure how this will work psiko, would love to hear from the devs.

Unconfirmed    2.1E-7

might mean 0.00000021
as in 0.00000021 42 which is a small amount of money amounting to about 0.00000945 BTC or about $0.0054.

What a ride this morning.

Before retiring last night, I acquired a little 42 at 49 BTC.  This morning, I wake to find that page open and the price at 75. I blink.  then it is 85.  A few minutes later, it is 122.

I'm thinking that one of you has valued it at somewhere around there.

wasn't there some focus against multipool dump prevention? I don't know a lot of info but someone was talking about it on irc, not sure.

I note that you just made your 42nd post, Diana.  That number is only special on this thread.

I imagine that Proof of Stake only solves multipool problems completely.

I'd like to know when it is to be done.  I see tx42 active on other parts of this forum.  I'd PM him on this matter, but I'd only be a pest.

Now, if other users also wanted an update.....
....then we could justify interrupting his programming efforts.

one of two things ... if thats just a pump and dump then price will go further lower where the pump started ... it started at 22 btc

if not then price may be stable and rise
