Hi! we created a multicurrency dice site: www.cryptosdice.com

We are looking for people that want to be part of the VERTCOIN bankroll! on july 11 we are going to activated those currencies with enough bankroll. We think this is a good opportunity for VERTCOIN community as it offers many advantatges:

1 - A way to spend VERTCOIN  - dice games are a good step in any crptocurrency development.
2 - A way for investors to earn.
3 - VERTCOIN wins visibility, It will be displayed in our website next to btc or ltc. Also our site have faucet for any of the altcoins accepted.
4 - Affiliates earn coins in the original bet currency, so users that don't know about VERTCOIN may find they have some balance of this currency because their referrals's earnings and start to learn about VERTCOIN .

we are very happy

Vertcoin Core – v0.13.99.0

This wallet implements the SegWit soft fork as well as the other BIPs in the latest Bitcoin Core version. All users and pools should update. This version of stratum-mining has been updated and confirmed working: https://github.com/Crypto-Expert/stratum-mining. We will soon release a version of p2pool that is updated also. Non-updated pool software will not work with the new wallet but old wallets will continue to work after the soft fork. It is imperative however that users and pools upgrade to the new wallet and pool software in order to activate SegWit. We require 75% of mined blocks out of 1000 upgraded to activate.

MiningPoolHub you're in the wrong thread. Active ann thread is here:

The upgrade forked the chain, so it is delayed and will be done as a hardfork in a month or so. Aren't you like 40% of the network hashrate? You should be knowing this stuff...

Oh.. sorry about it.
I was a bit busy with other coin's forking issues lately and couldn't catch up latest news from vertcoin.

I just searched vertcoin bitcointalk at google and came here because someone told me to update vertcoin via twitter ASAP.
I now know what happened by reading vertcoin reddit and blog.

I hope this thread to not allow any new replies and add a new ann thread link at front or last.

Thanks anyway.

No problem, glad you got it sorted. I think this thread can't be locked or changed because original dev lost control of his bitcointalk account, so just try to keep these giant green letters as the last post Smiley

Vertcoin Core - v0.11.0.0 Released

his wallet updates Vertcoin to use the latest Bitcoin Core v0.13 base. Thus, it soft forks BIP34, 66, 65, CSV and SegWit into Vertcoin as well as the other BIPs included in Bitcoin Core since v0.8. The soft forks will start signalling compliance from block 675,360 and will continue to signal for a year. Once 75% of blocks over a 2016 block period have signalled, after another 2016 block period the soft forks will activate and old version blocks will be orphaned from that point on. Therefore it is highly recommended you upgrade your wallet and this update should be treated as mandatory. It is especially important that pools upgrade as we need at least 75% of blocks mined to be upgraded in order to activate the soft forks. Pools that do not upgrade could risk orphaned blocks after activation. Everyone else, including users and exchanges, should upgrade too to guard against forking after activation.
