Its an   AMD  pool.

Ok, devil's advocate here, it won't work. Paid email has been suggested and, in some cases, tried since the Internet was the ARPANET. One immediate problem is users. 25 years ago, there weren't many choices available to communicate online and maybe, just maybe you could have gotten away with it then but as the Internet has grown and communications technology in general has exploded, there are hundreds of ways to communicate for free, or for the illusion of free (texting from phones) that a paid email service would struggle to survive.

I see you all saying how you would welcome it but, think about the logistics involved. How would charges be collected? What email program is capable and what software companies are willing to take on the challange of adding the infrastructure to their software? What happens if Digibyte is used and it's value raises because of it? Competiton would be enormous at first but as soon as someone (Microsoft?) decides free email is better and offers a competing service, we are back to square one.  

I run an IT division and we have several spam filters that do a great job of keeping the junk out. Now, consider this, of the 20,000 or so email they process daily, only about 300 to 500 are legitimate! Pretty sad huh? So when you base your argument that the system would help DBG is that really true? Spammers are not going to pay anything, they will find a new way or jump in some loop hole or another to get around it. A couple percent of todays Email worldwide is real, how much money will be changing hands? Factor into this the number of people who will no longer use Email and what do you have left? What kind of volume for the coin associated with it?

Also consider public computers, school computers etc. Are these institutions going to pay for others to use email on their systems? Not likely. Anyway, perhaps, just perhaps, a private email system that people could join MIGHT work but, is the value great enough to entice someone to pay for something that has, and for the most part, always will be free?

I don't think you understand the concept as your arguments seem to completely miss the point.  

It would be a bespoke email client.  Nobody is suggesting trying to retrofit this to gmail etc.

The people that understand and value such a service will pay.  There is no guarantee it will be a success but it is a good idea.  I would use it and suspect there are plenty of other people like me.  It might not completely replace regular email but if enough people adopt it then it doesn't really matter.

It provides a solution to a problem and is a perfect use for a micro currency.  BOTH things that are relevant to DGB.

Yes, I see your point now. I have seen so many of these "we need paid email" ideas I'm kinda blind to anything new. What you said makes sense but, I still think it should be researched before simply jumping in. As with all ideas such as this, there are up and down sides. As long as the "ups" outnumber the "down"s", have at it. I've been in the game since the '80s and every single "killer paid email solution" has failed miserably. Perhaps block chain technology can change that...

No...Im mining it right now ..doing good..but theblocksfactory has a must have command for difficulty that I cant understand. And my mistake ...I was using an older version ..Im using the new one now

At the moment the only way to buy most alt coins is using bitcoins, so yes the real world dollar/pound/euro value is related directly to the price of bitcoin.

Hi JayBex.  Welcome.  Yes.  I agree to an extent with the statement above "that the price of an alt-coin is related to the price of a BTC" ... except for a few alts that have separate USD markets (or trade directly with other national currencies).  Cryptsy has 10 active USD markets.  Hopefully, pretty soon, DGB will also have a dedicated market.

However, just because the price of an alt-coin is determined through an exchange rate with BTC, doesn't mean that the 2 values are connected in a causal relationship with price movement.  BTC price could decline while DGB rises, or they could both go up on the same day, or both go down on the same day.  The market exchange rate isn't fixed or pegged to BTC for most alt-coins (although many alt-coins have very predictable exchange-ranges and relationships with BTC).  So the relationship between the two is correlative not causal.

Hi mate, I see i think i get it, i was confused by thinking if the price of btc doubled then the price of digibyte would halve to 35 sat. So the dgb price would stay where it is at 70 sat? Would the price naturally decrease to 35 sat if there is a currency exchange market for dgb?
