Not been following the thread closely, what happens at block 27000?

USDE becomes the standard global currency and all fiat currency is no longer accepted as an acceptable form of payment.  I may be getting just a little ahead of myself here.   Grin

Ok so what actually happens is the difficultly will start to increase at a much faster pace.

Edit:  As the post above me suggests you should read the 1st page because you need to make sure you have the new version of the wallet as well.

Cool, my 280k USDe could well pay for a lot a tins of baked beans Smiley

I'm solo mining like a mofo until then. Hopefully I can hit a 100k block before it changes
Tin of beans, you must be European.. Anyway, how's the solo mining been goin? I only got one block ever solo mining

Just so-so right now. I've only got 1.3 MH but I managed to hit 2 100k blocks for my pool so I decided to solo for a while. So far 7 blocks and 24k coins in about 22 hrs.

Can you help me with setting up a solo mining..... i'm mining with two tahiti cards.... using GUI MINER-SCRYPT ALPHA

I use CGminer so I'm not sure how much different it is.

You need to create usde.conf in your %appdata%\roaming\usde folder with the following lines:

listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=usde
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=12378
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
addnode=23.253.71.56
addnode=192.237.223.87
addnode=23.253.32.222
addnode=149.210.166.111
addnode=84.212.33.227

and this is what I use for the pool:

C:\cgminer330\cgminer.exe -o 127.0.0.1:12378 -u usde -p x -scrypt (and whatever options you need)

I hope it helps.

EDIT: I just realized how old a version of CGminer I'm using. I'm curious if it matters to upgrade or not?

Alright, I'm going to make some prototypes of USDe coins template. I've ordered these 2: http://www.sharpeproducts.com/store/steel-15-dia-disk-1-1, http://www.sharpeproducts.com/store/steel-square-bar-ring-2-12-dia. I'm going to spray the ring with gold spray and then glue them together and brush them.

Only problem is how I'm going to put the logo on the coins... I want to use the old logo, do I just draw it on or can I ship it to someone in this community that owns a laser engraver?

I'm wondering when I should abandon solo and go back to poooligans. I'll probably let it run overnight and switch in the morning if I don't find anything.

So is this coin just for the US? The name really makes it seem that way. The USD will soon no longer be the world's reserve currency (soon means probably by 2020), do some research and you will quickly discover why. Now that could mean this coin explodes in value, or the world results in disliking anything to do with the USD name. Either way that event will probably destroy confidence in any fiat currency so its hard to say.

I'm not sure why you would say the name implies this coin is just for the US.  The USD is used around the world.  It certainly isn't used just in the US so why would USDe be any different?

At present market value that may reach $10.
Just basing on the present selling price of USD-e on coinmarket.io
and the present trading of BTC against the dollar.

Hold on to it, it may double or triple soon and keep on mining and trading.

It's all relative. Mining alone, someone with the same hashing power as you will never catch up. I like to think of it this way, what if you had mined 12377 Bitcoins back in 2009, would that be enough today?

And it's relatively cheaper than mining to buy USDe from coinmarket.io dumpers for the moment. With presumable diff rises coming I'm gonna buy all i can as long as they're dumping under 500 satoshi. Panic on! Cheesy

How many of this coin will be mined in the first year?

Also, I know that there will eventually be 1.6billion coins, but if it remains popular, do you think there is reasonable chance of it reaching $0.10 or so this year?

WDC is trading now at $0.34 and it just started at the 1st half of 2013.
With this activity and community supporting USDe, it is a possibility.
