Can't wait for the opening kickoff of the World Cup to start, Russia vs. Saudi Arabia will be a good one and I hope I am right with my match prediction. I can't say I'm that excited about the opening game but I'll watch it. Will probably be pretty boring as Saudi Arabia are easily one of the worst teams in the tournament and Russia aren't great either but they do have the home advantage. Maybe they have a couple of the referees in their pocket as well after buying the tournament in the first place  . I think Russia will probably get through the group stage but will get knocked straight out (unless they have bought the refs and they go all the way  ). I would have gone with Egypt to go through instead if Salah was 100% fit but I'm not sure if he's confirmed to even be playing the first game or not yet.

^  Yup.  I can see hilarious and me but nobody else.  I think the link he sent us was a 1v1 challenge.  To have a league where all of us can be in, I think hilarious has to create one here:

Ah ok. I think I figured it out now. I did initially create a league but just clicked the challenge your friends link so it must have just sent the player vs player ones out. Was wondering why I could't see the table. I'll resend the link to join the league shortly.

OK signed up for both, finished my bracket in 2 mins, I thought hey let's see where my gut takes me! And I avoided all the most popular scores in the league... Going for least popular scorelines for higher points. Though I suppose it doesn't mean anything for our pool purposes

@hilarious every world cup has its scandals so yeah I wouldn't put it past elements within Russia to be behind some decisions. Expect at least a handful of referee incidents. Like you said, if they could buy the WC, why not a few officials?

yeah all working now with the new links , I can see the leaderboard but still only 6 people listed there

are you guys going to share your bets here when the event starts or what ?? just need to make sure what thread to keep an eye on to see your bets

Anyway...  I finished my bracket earlier before I joined the league.  I don't have to do anything else right?  My brackets are set regardless if I join a couple more leagues or not, right?

Yeah there’s a load of people in those type of threads who are just there to post shit for their sig campaign’s. Most probably don’t even know the rules of football let alone support/follow any team.

I have managed to join the league hilariousandco created with the new links, but how do you manage to see the leaderboard and the number of people listed there? I can't seems to see any information on the leaderboard, do I need to fill in the group stage brackets with my prediction first before I can see the leaderboard?

Edit: Issue solved, the solution is to fill up the group stage brackets first and you will be able to join in the league for you to fill in your prediction on every match result, I am able to see the leaderboard now including my username on the leaderboard.

I just finished my WC brackets and the Match Predictor (matchday 1-3), although in this one there's no button to submit my predictions.

And let's not forget that the main hub of the VAR operations in this WC will be in Moscow (different from let's say the Bundesliga, where there's a VAR hub in each stadium...I think lol), so who knows what kind of person will be sitting next to the VAR ref giving him some "advice" before making a decision.

I just finished my bracket challenge as it didn't let me join the league before posting all outcomes, probably I just clicked the shit out of the games and didn't think thoroughly. Anyway I am more interested in the predictor leaderboard, where do we put our predictions in it , any link ? By the way joined both leagues.
