I don't know about you guys but I'm hating VAR and personally blaming it for putting all the unnecessary injury time moments... plus I'm sure the record penalties has something to do with VAR. Even Mexico's 1 up now with a penalty though livescores indicate it's one-sided anyway.

I didn't watch today's games (maybe will watch the last one tonight) but didn't expect Belgium to go all crazy. They're like the Liverpool of the world cup so far, blazing goals past defensive opponents. Not sure if I'm jaded because I'm not doing well predictions-wise or betting-wise!

@LFC: Joker is given every Match Day (we're in Matchday 2 now, labelled right at the top, 3rd group games are Matchday 3). To activate just click the "joker hat" icon just below each scoreline, the entire match selection will highlight to indicate Joker applied to that game. Jokers double your points. I wasted 2 jokers so far, correct outcomes for paltry points that when doubled weren't even 10 points apiece. Next Joker comes into play on Monday.

I had Mexico 2-0 too and I thought finally I got a correct score, yet the 93 minute ruined it all. Definitely I think that I will not get a single correct score until the end of the tournament seeing my performance so far , which has been to say the leas pathetic and I fully deserve the last place.

Bloody hell. I lost both my 1-1 prediction on our FIFA league (would have snagged me 300 points) and my over x4 bet on Sweden to win. I guess you're right about Germany after all. I can probably expect a few of you to have predicted this 2-1. I'm glad I got my @8.4 Germany to win the World Cup in... though on the basis of the performance today, I don't know if I can say they deserve to go through even to Last 16. Kroos's goal was a beauty but Sweden could have nailed a winner many times, and their keeper kept them in the game so often.

Now if South Korea were to beat Germany 1-0, and Mexico beats Sweden... that's both teams on equal goals tally and points... who'd go through? Head to head? I'm actually not sure.

Holy shit! Mark Kroos - what a goal! They were wery close to be eliminated, but after this goal they are in great position before the last matchday, especially because they will play against South Korea.
But why referee didn't gave penalty in the first half? He didn't even used VAR. In my opinion it was clear penalty.
P.S I had prediction that Germany will win 2:0, but I decided to change it to 2:0 few minutes before the game

As far as I know, if differences are same then the next criteria are quantities of scored goals. The team, who have scored more, gets an advantage. The last criteria are quantities of red and yellow cards and if all 3 are equal then it will be a draw.

to be honest I was 100% sure that Germany would struggle to win , I backed them 1-0 on the predictor and went for U2.5 goals bet
Sweden scoring the 1st goal made my bet a little bit harder to win , but the bet hold till the last minute haha
anyways it was a break even day for me since I had O2.5 goals in Belgium vs Tunisia

for tomorrow I have Senegal +0 at X1.662 (2units ) and Panama+1.5 at X2.14 (1unit )
still hate England performance so I like my bets , and since Senegal looks like a decent shot winning that bet alone should be fine for me

According to the tiebreaker rules, if two or more teams finish with the same points, and same goal difference, then we go to the overall number of goals scored. If they're still equal after that, FIFA uses the following tie-breakers (in this order) to determine who goes through:

- head-to-head results
- goal difference in the games between the teams concerned
- goals scored by those teams in those games
- fair play (without going into too much detail: the team with less number of yellow/red cards goes through)
- FIFA draw

England should be able to claim maximum points in the match against Panama today, as England would surely want to secure a spot in the next stage of this world cup tournament without the need to get any points from their match against Belgium, but I am starting to doubt my own prediction after sawing so many favorites teams that are struggling against the weaker teams in the group stage.

Thanks for this! So it's a possible scenario after all! Because if South Korea wins the next game against Germany 1-0, they'll have exactly the same points, goal difference and goals scored, but I suppose head-to-head means the Asians go through. With all these VAR penalties, there's no reason for the Koreans to just try flood the penalty box if they have a chance and then park the Seoul bus when they're 1-0 up... you never know!

@Barcode_: England absolutely have to win this, Panama should be the whipping boys... but they can't rely on Kane all the time. Sterling's supposedly dropped according to a leaked team sheet, which I feel is justified. I say give Rashford full license to attack.

Underdogs having a good tourney, but I haven't been betting the right ones. Panama is tempting for a draw...

Germany are jammy bastards. That last goal was a peach. Glad it happened because I want Germany to go through, but I also needed them on my accumulator haha. I really hope Germany can finish top second (or Brazil second in their group) so neither team potentially meet each other before the final (if they get that far).

It goes down to goal difference then there's other criteria after that if those are both the same. That's why scoring a lot of goals in the tournament is important because it could go down to whether you progress or not.

Not a bad idea, but we need to see what other players think off about the group chat and knowing not all are active in a group chat we need to have a considerable amount of members to start also someone needs to make the voluntary act of creating the telegram group channel as I don't think someone will do it on its own knowing that no one will be joining the group chat. I have been to similar groups about that but it soon has died down as suddenly the activity in that group chat decreased as the days go by especially if that group chat doesn't have a healthy conversation.
