Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Signs that identify a ICO scam. Team DEV anonymous - fake profile Before investing in any ICO project, the first thing we need to care about is the development team. But their names, positions, degrees do not measure the quality of the team as people often mistakenly, but the previous projects that they have made and succeed. In particular, the project staff information you have access to on LinkedIn to ensure that they actually exist. Scary whitepaper Although the whitepaper is the most informative document on the project, most people do not read it. When referring to a whitepaper, there are two things to clarify: First, the project must provide specific and detailed information as possible. This will help the investor better understand the project and make it easier to make investment decisions. Reading and understanding the project is also an act that shows that we are more responsible for our investment. If we do not read the whitepaper and invest in losses, the first mistake is because we did not study well. Use multiple buzzwords For those who are not professionals in the industry, hearing these buzzwords will feel like this is very specialized, majestic and specialized information. But actually, they intentionally make the reader do not understand or misunderstand.

At this point I'm staying away from ICOs unless they have a fair distribution without asking for money, right now the risk is too high with al lthe scams we have today.

That was just a bad luck, nothing more I believe. This year showed us a lot of decent ICOs even in such market conditions, and there's still enough hype around various projects, so I think that it is your individual experience.

before investing in an ICO, you should research thoroughly your project before you invest in it, Otherwise, you will lose the opportunity cost for another potential ICO cryptocurrency. Any worst ICO project is when there is not any information such as new web, sketchy information, untouchable team, unclear features and sketchy whitepaper.

When you invest in an ICO project, the first thing you need to do is to explore the stages of an ICO project. Avoid unreliable websites, phishing websites are the biggest threat to ICO cryptocurrency projects and potential investors. Since phishing sites are often the same as the real ICO site, so be sure to research the web before investing. Avoid address fraudulent, Absolutely never trust the address of the Ethereum Wallet for you to be sent from strangers on the internet. Thorough study of information, regardless of the investor's willingness to participate in an ICO project, the first is to consult and thoroughly research the project and the ICO team, often publicly available. Apparently on the big social networks like FaceBook, Twitter.

Imo the problem is investors themselves, people have been fooling other people since the beginning of time, no one can do anything with that I've seen a lot of people who invested in ICOs but didn't even read whitepapers, didn't check team members' accounts, the actual progress of the product Analyzing the website is far from enough

To avoid being scammed in the ICO, these are the things you need to know before investing in it. Learn about the ICO project team, especially the development team and the advisory board. Study each team member for more information about them. You can find their name on Google. Visit the Linkedin profile page. Look for the famous names on the project advisory board. Find out if the group has ever participated in pre-codec or ICO projects that are successful; And in what project do they contribute? You should read the user's feedback carefully. The interest of investors will be answered or not. If the developer avoids answering a few questions, it's a bad sign. Sending a personal message of how fast they respond is a good idea. Each member's message on Bitcoin represents the rank and activity level of the sender. Based on this, it is important for you to be aware of new people and reputable people. Look for reputable reviews, as well as look for negative messages, which can sometimes be a warning sign.

I agree with you but now there are many SCAM projects with more sophisticated tricks to trick the investors, they forge from the profile team, whitepaper, etc. It's getting easier with this SCAM project.

ICO investment is still a good investment in the cryptocurrency market and investors can participate in this period. Be sure to look carefully at the project that you want to participate in to minimize the risk. Never invest without really understanding it.

Hardest thing about ICO is research about a good one! I have to go through a wood of paid promoters (advisors) and a bunch of false promises till I found a legit one. And when you find a legit one you dive in deeper and find out its not that "revolutionary" as you would want it to be, and then start again! Easiest thing is to throw your money away.

You can't stop crypto investors on participating in many active and newly published ICO projects. This is not new to everyone here that together with the legit projects, we all knew that there are also the scam ICOs. Thats why, we must need to study the projects we want to invest before investing on it. to avoid this kind of issues because not all ICO projects are real.

Scam accusations have always been there since the time of memorial, but we have been careful especially when investing in ICO's because most just polish it to be more catchy but at the long run they have nothing good to offer. Am very sorry for your loss buddy.

Investment in ICO is a high risk game and absolutely no guarantee of profit. Signs of a rogue ICO project you need to know to stay away from sophisticated delusions in the fertile crypto market with the opportunity to get rich. You can search for employee information by visiting the LinkedIn site to make sure they really exist. And those ICOs usually provide sketchy whitepaper. You were cheated by the fact that you do not know much about the ICO development team. If you look at the development team and find out about the projects they have been successful before, your investment will be wiser. It is important that you carefully read the whitepaper that they have sent to you. If the whitepaper is clear and not ambiguous then it is a trustworthy ICO project. Do not be disappointed, as this can be a lesson that will make you more experienced with the next ICO project, be a smart investor. good luck.

This is getting more and more common and taking into account how weak the market of cryptocurrencies is at the moment I do not see how this can improve at all, I really think that the best days of icos are over, that doesn't mean that icos are not going to exist anymore but icos are not going to be as influential as they were in the last years and I'm happy about that.

Well, ICOs are risky business to participate in and that is a well-known fact. You can really make some easy money with buying ICO coins/tokens but there is always the possibility that something will go wrong and you'll lose your money. Use the money you are Ok to lose.

Right now all they fell 10 × make the stock market cheaper than the smart. Most of the ico are fake and unsafe. It's best to get on the stock market, make more sense and secure.
