The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I do believe this was tried with 1coin, antimatter is an interesting concept name, but I would most definitely suggest a higher count than a single coin. My two cents, and best of luck

Why?

There are already coins like Diamond, Unobtanium (imaginary), Emerald, Gold etc I thought it would be cool to have a coin that is named after the most expensive substance known to mankind.

Physical anti matter has a price tag of $62.5 trillion per gram, not bad Smiley

This is just a bit of fun concept to be honest, but will be treated seriously nonetheless.

OK, thanks for the feedback.

I wanted it to have just one possible unit because I thought it would be a good representation of the material that it is named after.

very cool name indeed!

Thanks! Smiley

Hopefully we can give the coin a nice theme and feel to it.

Not a bad name, but really unless it has innovation save it for when you have a good idea. Onecoin was tried, i liked the concept and would be great if it was revived. However the decimal places required are quite a problem it seems.

I'll try to find a solution to that.

The lowest denomination will be called an antiparticle, which will probably be the term used to describe how much of Antimatter you have.

So it would be like Bitcoin being talked about in Satochis.

Well that would put a damper on things.... but (I hope) it looks like they have integrated the 'other' antimatter project into Noirbits and dropped the name.

Quote
Integrated with my Noirbits project as NoirTokens, release is early in january. check The Black Watch thread for updates.

Hopefully that means I won't put anyone's nose out of joint by reviving the name antimatter in a different way.

Make it 2x as divisible as bitcoin.

Yeah I was thinking minimum 8 decimal places but perhaps 16 would be even crazier.

make it use negative numbers Cheesy

So if you buy Antimatter you'd own less than when you didn't have any, not bad Cheesy

Hello! I downloaded the linux version of wallet. When I run antimatter-qt I have this error:
Code:
[arch@arch antimatter]$ ./antimatter-qt
./antimatter-qt: /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by ./antimatter-qt)
./antimatter-qt: /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by ./antimatter-qt)
./antimatter-qt: symbol lookup error: ./antimatter-qt: undefined symbol: _ZN5boost6detail17once_global_epochE
[arch@arch antimatter]$

Can we have the source code? So I can compile it for my machine...
Also how I ahould use antimatterd? I never used it, there are a tutorial or something?

I am solo mining and I keep getting blocks accepted but none are showing up in my wallet.

Block times are really slow as documented but when I try and listtransactions nothing shows up at all.

What is going on?

Antimatter is not meant to be live yet!! And yet you guys picked it up and seem to be mining it! Cheesy

The editor of the Antimatter Video pushed the publish video button and went to sleep.

It wasn't supposed to be made public.

Please stop mining ANT until we get it finshed as we'll probably have to reset the blockchain and I don't want your electricity wasted, I want to get this out fairly with plenty of warning.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion!

DO NOT MINE ANT YET!

THERE WILL BE A PROPER LAUNCH LATER TODAY

OK thanks.

I had watched a video on Youtube about it and then saw the wallet was available to download and then saw it was on block 50 so started to mine it.

Oh well Smiley

Hello sir!
When the coin is released, how can we mine it? I mean, we can mine using the wallet (or something else idk)? Also will be the sources of the wallet released?
I can't run the antimatter-qt on my arch, so I would try to compile it on my machine from sources.
