Pre-announcing new service that works with FairQuark, it's not announced widely yet, consider it a beta! The aim is to be able to provide a 3rd party authentication service for crypto-currency addresses. It is intended for donation addresses, public ledgers, and any kind of service where a payment address is published, and people will want to make sure that it's the real address before making a payment. Instead of just trusting a post or website, you can use it as a 3rd party to verify an addresses. To register an address, you just need to sign a message (from your client wallet app), and then you can specify a name and website link, so only the owner of the private key to an address can adjust the name & link. You can also create an account, and "claim" an address with it, which will provide an extra degree of protection. A claimed address can only be modified if you have the private key AND the account password or email. Service is free Testing feedback welcome! As an illustration, here is the cryptoID tip jar: FRQ qevJG6HBtAYKyFA9T9Vtxejut85HZjyq7m

A new beta block explorer is up for FairQuark at http://chainz.cryptoid.info/frq/It doesn't have the limitations of ABE, and can display transactions logs for addresses with thousandths of transaction (though be aware that your browser may suffer, so by default only the last 100 entries are visible) Note that this is completely new tech, not based on ABE or other existing block explorers, so errors may lurk.

That's good news since my wallet has 170,000 frq trans of dust around 0.9 frq a piece...that's a crap load of dust.

Your browser will probably choke on that with the current JS/HTML code though I'll need to refine the UI more. That said, you should probably consolidate (ie. send everything in larger batches to another wallet), as your client is probably slow as molasses with that many transactions ^_^

Massive dump on Poloniex yesterday - halved the value to 9/10 sat Very undervalued imho. Should be 30+ Not much can save this coin now. Perhaps this could work: - Destroy the unspent portion of the premine by sending to an unspendable address - Buy out FRQ equivalent to the amount of premine that was already spent, and destroy it by sending to an unspendable address - Update the post to reflect 0% premine - For transparency, update the first post to fully describe what was done

Not much can save this coin now. Perhaps this could work:
Maybe, though with the current reward of 1024 per block, if most miners dump, just to maintain a price of 10 satoshis requires about 0.150 BTC worth of buy orders every day. Given the market is bearish, no miners is hoarding anything, they just dump ASAP, so the price & reward need to go down before it can go up again, question is whether the network will hold or not given the lack of activity from the devs... FWIW I've added tickers & market caps at http://chainz.cryptoid.info/frq/, at 12 satoshis FRQ market cap is just about $11k What's really needed is dev activity, I've got a feeling only coins with active devs will survive the current downturn... and those that do will emerge as strong coins. The rest will be weeded out.

Dev activity would certainly help, yes. And community activity in general. The new block explorer that you linked to (did you make it?) is actually very nice: way better than you see on much more established coins.

Thanks Yes I made it, this is completely new tech, and a work in progress. (just added tickers & market cap info btw) It'll will eventually allow many things so far only available in blockchain.info, a maybe a few that aren't yet

Unfortunately the server running the pool at http://fairquark.p2p.0x0a.nl:8372 went down unexpectedly around 13:00 GMT today. Due to mistakes I made in reboot scripts and the fact that I'm on vacation with little access to internet (Murphy's law..), it has been down for over four hours. I've changed the reboot scripts so that this shouldn't happen again. I apologize for the inconvenience and I will try to make up for it by looking at the last payouts + rate of blocks so that I can pay you all what you should have received for the four hour gap as soon as I can. Please PM me to get in touch if you have any questions / frustration to express / etc.. I'll get back as soon as I can.

https://comkort.com/vote#FRQDon't forget to vote at ComKort. If dev's would stop spanking their monkey to anime and post weekly updates I know some people who'd be interesting in building apps for this coin so that it could actually be used.

Someone is selling 15 FRQ every 6 minutes, and has been doing at least as far back as the Poloniex trade history shows. Any idea why?

Probably a miner on autosell. Let's hope for poloniex he's not a P2Pool miner using poloniex as wallet... and filling it with dust transactions. I've submitted a ticket to poloniex, as those 15 FRQ orders just bury the order history in junk. If you're the autoseller and reading this, please consider raising your sales to at least 150 (ie. about once per hour). Also FWIW the fairpool.co.vu P2Pool will be down for a few more hours, some issue with the anti-DDOS hardware at the host having failed... oh the irony, anti-DDOS hardware failure is causing complete DOS edit: now back online

Thanks for the info. Hopefully it won't be listed on Cryptsy for another week, so I can enough first. Thank you very much, I also don't think within a week. I hope you will continue to strive to develop this coin.
