Hodl is only intended for long term and short term investment, if the market is fluctuation which will continue up to 10 months. It is not good to make a profit. You have to make diversifying technique coins to earn better in regards with the increasing loses.

As we know that actually if you cannot trade then the best is to invest what you would not mind losing, so as to subdue the panic in a way and then HODL until you get the best out of it. With bitcoin kind of promising cryptos, we can hold for ever. The longer we will be able to hold, the bigger the benefits. But this is not the case with most other coins. I mean to say that we need to find the right investments before following the policy of longer holding. Holding is a very wise thing, but learning how to trade is actually the smartest choice. Yes, not everyone can trade and not everyone would want to go through that patience of learning or time to even achieve it, but it is actually the best to consider than holding.

Well for me holding is only essential when the market is in dump, where  prices are so low. Another thing is when a crypto user is into long term engagement. In my case I only hold to wait until the price high or even satisfactory enough to earn a good profit.

Every coin in possession must have a goal set for it based on its performance on the market. That should be the rule guiding the reason for your hodl. You don't hold any coin for holding sake but have a set goal price as to how long to hold and when to sell to make profit.

there are many reasons why a person hodl his coins.  one of them is if the person has invested into many coin projects and don't have much time to monitor each of them.  he may choose just to hodl and spend time on other non-crypto related stuffs, then go back after some months to check the price again.  but this is good if the person invested in good projects with potential for growth.  It's better if he arranges his portfolio in such a way that majority of his funds are in bitcoin and lots in top 20 coins, then some on low-cap projects that has good chances to grow.

Hold is the best strategy if you can buy at low price (after the crash at the beginning of the year it's relatively that), I think the best is invest on small MC (for crypto like BTC, even if the price has fall it remains very high compared to the beginning). The best thing was to invest several years ago.

Everything depends how the market will go up in the coming years, but I don't think it's a very good idea to invest today for hold in currencies like BTC or ETH (just my opinion)

finally, my patient to hold the coins gives me a big profit some of my coins can increase higher and I am not expecting this but I am really happy to see this. Hold may apply only to a certain coins/token. Not all are worthy to be held. I suggest to paly you asset will to gain nit to lose. Holding something without a potential of gaining, better to dispose of it immediately.
