So what can we reasonably expect to do here? The man behind the site is now found after no payments, but basically it just ends his scam and we all hold a bunch of stupidly purchased 'contracts.'

I'm still for collecting all his personal data into a fresh topic, in a clearly arranged manner. I don't want to start it though, I think the honor belongs to puppet or someone else of the early warners.

My guess is: he's shitting his pants now and will try to buy himself a one-week-pause from the hunt by pushing payouts through and posting some bullshit about technical delays.

Its not his chopper, dont be silly. He probably jumped out of it.
And dont be foolish to believe there is a way to repay everyone. Even if Jason didnt squander much of his loot on skydiving and vacations, fact is that early investors made a profit, and therefore newer one's can not be made whole unless you can claw back those profits (or you think Jason already was rich).
File a complaint with the local police or cyber fraud department, and if you have a big enough stake in this, get a lawyer or start pooling funds to get one.

Hmm yes, this is why these work. Nobody is really gonna feel burned enough to do that. Except that dude who had like a massive amount of GHS at the top.

I suppose it'll all boil down to whether or not someone (here?) can persuade the relevant Authorities to get involved by unequivocally identifying Jason as the 'Man in Charge' ? So far I've seen a lot of circumstantial evidence but perhaps it might be enough to start an official investigation ?

It's easy by watching the global stats. Anyway, here are the first clients in the list: Pluton14 112856 0.05745720 158.85065446 DE001 84621 0.04308220 164.41390964 Customer # 37901 72500 0.03691275 10.16024121 Customer # 20889 71630 0.03646823 60.44136753 Customer # 37101 61384 0.03125313 8.07227144 junokawa 54504 0.02774905 40.82255485 Customer # 18885 46800 0.02382679 102.79876783 MikeJames 42068 0.02141856 12.05549522 Customer # 36727 36000 0.01832909 8.77346326 Customer # 15783 31880 0.01623073 37.80822136 Customer # 15481 31250 0.01590998 33.35541697 Customer # 35575 31188 0.01587910 5.27837475 jeenway 30500 0.01552881 6.96642217 Customer # 28707 30339 0.01544617 14.22239037 ashatak 30178.8 0.01536461 149.39348801 Customer # 38853 30050 0.01529969 1.33793842 Customer # 39506 30025 0.01528697 1.03343655 DwardMinerPB 30000 0.01527424 5.56779002 Uspex214 30000 0.01527424 8.47448099 igoru 30000 0.01527424 3.67480845 Customer # 38155 29320 0.01492802 4.45406396 Customer # 11875 27500 0.01400078 53.98944257 Customer # 9240 27300 0.01389896 69.43297834 Customer # 35837 27000 0.01374681 9.17604062 I think that with an average price of 0.003 BTC per GH/s, just by considering these first names, we are around 3000 BTC of value. At the actual price, 3000 BTC correspond to over 1 million $.

Or even if they exist atall. there are references to people being pait in the past, even people reaching the point of ROI on a early bought contract. this does not mean they withdrew the BTC though.
