42 x 42 = 1764

the 1764 coin is coming guys... watch out!

1% of people are original, the rest just produce copycats.

it's no wonder 1% of the world population holds the most money.

mining with 5mh/s and no blocks for 20 minutes.. fail coin don't bother

Why even try? The MarioBrosCoin had a nice wallet at least. This is just a lazy, half assed scam coin. Even 42 coin is stupid imo. We already have rare coins that you should be mining instead.. DMD EMD BTB ORB ARG BTG FRK

Those coins I listed above are already on exchanges and most have good seasoned developers behind them, some even have teams. A few like EMD and ORB have very low difficulty, lower than some of these new shitcoins. So I ask you noobs. Why are you mining the new premined crap that are clearly just scams? Why not some of the more established coins? Yes I know some are premined as well. Maybe you didn't know about them? So there they are.

Wanna see a cool rare coin? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=207008.0

That there is innovation.

You know, I used to support altcoins...  and I still want to...  I believe in freedom to create whatever you want and for the community to decide what it's worth...

But this is getting ridicules.  Can you seriously EVER see this being used in the world?

I know right? after seeing what happen with 42, a few people got very very rich and the rest are left holding the bag. I view this as nothing more than the dev and a select few that have the high hash power and luck making bank off another coin like this. Something that is so micro like this, like the ones with huge block rewards are going to have a hard time making it.

Miners beware, look at 42 and decide if this is wort the risk for you.

Yeah cryptsy will probably list in 2 days if you have the bribe money ready. ALthough i was told cryptsy have a HUGE HUGE mining farm themselves and got a nice bunch of 42 themselves to dump on fools LOL.

Yep I have wondered that at times because it seems like almost instant when a new coin gets listed it gets dumped right off. And its a rather large amount. They have more than enough money coming in to support a rather large GPU farm of the best and greatest cards, would not take long for them to get a huge amount right off the bat.

Hmmmmmm!

I looked into this coin and found out a few things:
It was NOT premined
It was NOT coingen created
The developer has updated the wallet for this coin and even added in checkpoints.
The developer has created other coins (beside this one).
Over 1000 blocks have been mined and it only took me about 3 minutes to mine my first block only putting a half hearten 320k hash into it.

Over all, this coin is better then most of the junk that has been coming out in droves.
It has no potential of ever making it as a currency (but then again neither does BTC or LTC... too few coins).
But it does make a commodity coin (Like 42 in which this was cloned from).

Cheers

Over 1000 blocks have been mined and it only took me about 3 minutes to mine my first block only putting a half hearten 320k hash into it.

Over all, this coin is better then most of the junk that has been coming out in droves.
It has no potential of ever making it as a currency (but then again neither does BTC or LTC... too few coins).
But it does make a commodity coin (Like 42 in which this was cloned from).

Cheers

We have the original 42 and not premine. We dont need another shit clone coin....  , this coin is DEAD.

This coins has seen some growth.
It seems to be grass roots, miner driven.

It now has a website: 84coin(dot)TK
It now has a pool: http://pool.webcoin.us/84
and they are putting out calls for other aspects of the coin.

Its seems to be a slow but smooth start.
There is continued mining on the coin. They are several thousand blocks into it.

So I guess its just a time to wait and see.

Cheers

Of which I am neither...

If you don't like the coin, don't agree with the coin, don't want to put any hash behind the coin great.
It doesn't affect me one way or the other.
Other then your non-approval, you have not flexed your bona fides as to why as to why this coin is not up to par with other coins such as bitgem, e-token, pheonixcoin, elacoin, casinocoin, astrocoin, hobonickels, xivra, betacoin, qqcoin, catcoin, dogecoin, datacoin, or any slew of other Alt coins. All those coins and more have been listed and have some value attached to them.
Hell there are some coingen coins that have been listed, mined, and hold value. At least this coin is actually created by a developer who has other successful coins and not a pay service.

Just want to see your thoughts.

Cheers

Just to clear the air , I am the person who cloned 42 and launched 84 on Cryptocoin Talk

Just tonight I pushed updated checkpoints to github, and build a new qt wallet.

There is a website run by another member of the cryptocurrency community and also a mining pool.

If you like it, thanks, if you don't move along since there are many other coins out there for you to mine.

84

A clone of the popular cult coin '42' in the same style that Feathercoin is modeled after Litecoin in terms of block awards.

I made only minor changes to the retargeting of how 42 was done and hopefully a coin with 84 second block times can hold together.

I will keep the source code on github updated with checkpoints time permitting and new wallets to help protect YOUR 84 !!!

Website
http://www.84coin.tk/

SPECIFICATIONS

    Scrypt 1024 Algo
    84 second block target
    Difficulty retargets every 7 minutes
Total coins will be only 84
    Block reward .000084

And people like you are a shining example of why i never joined this forum for years.
I forgot more about cryptography , math & many other things
before you and the countless other thankless bastards who hang out here
will ever learn in your worthless life.

People like you who disrespect others with no reason to should be banned from the human race. Permanently.
Not just for six months.

Come on twitter some night you little puke /

I am @cinnamon_carter

I will embarrass you anytime.

Ohhh , i forgot bots & fake accounts for the crooks around here usually don't surface.

No loss

People who create these worthless coins ought to be banned.

At the very least we need to require people to have a half year old account, before they can create a coin.

Yes the coin is quite alive.

No you don't see the developer here often.

The bitcoin alternative currencies forum has become an unregulated and outdated place to find out information.

I don't bump the thread to keep things on the top of the pile.

If you want real information on I suggest you visit cryptocoin talk where the support for the coin is.

There are coins launched there not even posted here by developers that are listed in exchanges.

Of course being listed in an exchange is of little importance to anyone who has genuine loyalty to a coin.

If you are mining a coin and believe in it's future why would you want to 'exchange' it for anything else ?

To the membership here all most people seem to care about is getting a coin to an exchange as soon as possible so they can aquire bitcoin.

I will say there is a lot of good historical information and other information in these forums for bitcoin.

Beyond that the boards are full with spam & no moderation. In particular since the launch of doggie coin. I visit this forum about as often as I drive through a bad neighborhood in Philly where I'm from.   Not often.

Your chance to win!

I wanted to remind everyone that in less than FOUR HOURS we will have our fourth drawing, this means we will be adding two more coins to our exchange!
The good news is that you don't need to be at the top of the list for a chance to win, all you need is a minium of 100 votes (more is better, of course  Cheesy) and you will be entered into the random drawing which will be streamed live.

Fyi for the few following 84, I am the dev.

Someone is always mining this coin, not sure if one lone miner out there or multiple people.

Difficulty remains low usually about .2 but it has done much better than I ever expected for this experiment.

The most updated client will always be on cryptocoin talk , it was updated about a week ago with checkpoints

Windows binary is here , was done March 30 2014

http://www.mediafire.com/download/dtuu5ipx9rctwzl/84+win+qt+new+checkpoints+march+30+2014.7z

Source updated on my github also here

Have fun , in particular the little unknown ninjas who are 'always' mining this coin !!

Not everybody are born with a brain. Some people really do need babysitting, who else would even invest money in bullshit schemes like this?

It got ridicilous over one year ago and my god have it escalated. jesus christ way to go people, destroy a good technology like this yes yes very good job everybody 1000s of shitcoins launched all just pump & dump and ipos and scams oh my god crypto did create a new world yes it did it did create a perfectly legal and safe environment to scam people of their money and destroy the reputation of crypto in mainstream media jesus fucking christ but to be honest I am not surprised at all this is what happens when you have an unregulated market and leave individuals in charge and you let scammers scam and fools be fooled. Not everybody are born with a brain. Some people really do need babysitting, who else would even invest money in bullshit schemes like this?

You obviously need to do your research. This coin had a fair launch, has an active dev, no ipo, nothing to indicate anything scammy.  To state what you just said makes you sound like a 12 year old that doesn't know wtf they are talking about..

You know, I used to support altcoins...  and I still want to...  I believe in freedom to create whatever you want and for the community to decide what it's worth...

You need to do your research. Coins with a better team of devs, original idea, new algo, better site, no IPO, no premine, great promotion have resulted to scam or something of the sort. I understand you want to stand up for a coin that your mining or what ever the reason, but know what your talking about.

The coin has one dev, no ipo, no premine, no hype. There is nothing wrong with this coin at all. Just because it doesn't meet your requirements for a fucking Broadway production doesn't make it a bad coin.. And really, when someone is just posting insults that are not in anyway a constructive criticism, you can tell who the ignorant ones are..

Well, I like 84. I never understood why someone would be so hateful as to waste so much power attacking it. I guess emotion dictates common sense sometimes..
