Perhaps stamp bear whale is the same "weak hand" that dumped at the bottom. Trying to prevent his offloading of 10k btc into turning into an ugly mistake.

We're at 86% RC5 compliance  Cool

plus Master Node count went over 1,000. Just noticed today.
Can you explain how you count nodes, I see in the third graph labeled Darkcoin Masternode  Count and Payment (http://drk.poolhash.org/mnode.html), that there was a drop in masternodes on october 2nd from 886 to 832 and that now it is back up to 839.  Actually i sold some of DRK because I assumed this graph was correct and it meant that a drop of 54 nodes would provide more lilquidity than what the market can handle.  Apparently this has not happened and the price has gone up but the number of masternodes has not gone back up above 886.

Am I right assuming that 54 nodes dropped out?  Is there a correct way to count active nodes and to monitor when nodes drop out?
Sorry for these questions but I need to know.

LOL.

However: start wallet, Help > Debug window > Console tab > type 'masternode count' in the box (minus the quotes)

I feel bad for the people that aren't aware Vertoe's masternode share is offline, and as such the MN's ran drop off. Same thing happened when Vertoe upgraded the wallets taking the nodes offline. Not sure if it's going to be back up (doesn't sound like it).

If you go to drk.mn check:

Total Masternodes: 1017 = 840 actives + 177 inactive

Whether they are active or inactive it means the network sees the nodes and the daemons are running, although moving the coins and leaving the servers running would make your node show inactive there are many other reasons for this like ports being closed etc. Also someone who sells his masternode coins is unlikely to keep the server running just because. If a vps is completely terminated it wont show active or inactive, so dont assume inactive nodes are directly related to selling the coins, seeing a growing count active + inactive is always a good indicator and we havent  been above 1000 ever before.

Every bitcoin address should receive a micro-transaction and message like "Anyone can see the purchases you did for the rest of your life" :-)

Heh - and for your grandchildrens' lives and their grandchildrens' lives and their grandchildrens' lives and - stop me if I'm boring you.             Wink

Some people might actually like that as their ticket to immortality, so to speak.

If it's any consolation, gold's getting monkey hammered as well... and oil.

You'd almost think someone was trying to close off all escape routes in advance of a fiat currency crisis.

I was driving today and I remembered a conversation about Wal-Mart being one of the biggest currency transactors in the world (banks are probably bigger). They buy so much from China that they have a bigger GDP than a lot of countries.

The guy I was speaking to was sort of involved in one of the many chains that handle the Wal-Mart FX account.

If crypto really takes off, banks are really fucked because a lot of their money comes from the tiny, tiny margins they make on trillions worth of fx deals.

That's why banks are trying to do everything they can to close down BTC and other crypto bank accounts. Once it gets established, then its a ticking time-bomb.

I think I'm going to buy a bit more crypto, put it into cold storage and just forget about it for 10 years.

That there is the best financial advice you can give.

Ok! Thanks for the info, I found it on the bottom of the page drk.mn

And thanks to all who helped me understand the issue!  I will try to buy some of the DRK that I sold cheap!  Bummer!

Oh gosh, I just bought some BTC at $301.50, about $100 worth.  I sure hope it wasn't a mistake!  I'm going to wait until it's more profitable to buy dark with it though.... if it gets more profitable.... who knows?  doesn't matter though, as I'll have to wait until Thursday to sell anyway.

Wow, haven't done that in a long time.  Very nerve wracking!  Silly, but we're on such a tight budget!  I sold a couple of crystal balls, so... LOL.

BTW, if anyone wants a huge 8" diameter, 20 cm, 200 mm clear crystal ball, let me know!  I take DRK, USD, Euro and BTC, LOL

https://www.bitstamp.net/market/order_book/

Lol, 5mil sell well on bitstamp. And we call 100btc as sell wall Smiley
But obvious, this is a bigtime whale. No1 will put a 5mil sell order while btc is dumping, either they would sell slowly into the buy orders or dump the whole thing at once.

Buy I have a feeling, with the upcomign bt cn pump, there will be even better, bigger and louder drk pump. Those newly bought BTCs needs to find homes.
