New (self-moderated) thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454186

www.CoinMarket.io presents you the public beta test of a new altcoin exchange platform.
We aim for high perfomance, reliability and quick adoption of new coins (with community voting).
Feel free to check us out.

Why another exchange?
The current state of the altcoin market does not satisfy too many people.
Is it better to trade new coins at the forums, google drive spreadsheets or the IRC? We dont think so.

Technology?
We are powered by Node.js with its perfect evented model as the platform of choice.
Node.js is designed for high-concurrency evented network applications and allows our systems to be highly efficent and scalable.

Security?
Our exchange is built by developers with a critical mindset about security.
We implement distributed manual cold wallets with offline inputs signing process (described here: http://people.xiph.org/~greg/signdemo.txt).
If requested, we will provide our source code (under some terms) to a
respected member of the Bitcoin developers community or the Node.js community - for auditing purposes.

Thats it?
Not at all. This post will be updated with more information soon.

Please keep in mind that this is a raw, untested version of the software.
Anything can happen, so use it at your own risk.
Ofcourse we are doing our best to fix bugs quickly and improve the exchange,
but no guarantees of reliability or correctness are provided by CoinMarket.io
If we need to pause trading to investigate anything, we will.
If we need to bring the exchange down for hours to fix critical problems, we will.
Try not to deposit excessive amounts of coins - atleast until we drop the BETA status.

Feel free to suggest new coins at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=422726

All I ask is that you add GPC, or GrumpyCoin, to the exchange.

What about adding other coins?
Only USDE market probably won't cut it in the long run - though for example neither coinedup nor cryptsy has an USDE market.

Perhaps focusing more on relatively new but promising coins, that are not yet on other exchanges may be a good idea (and then people will perhaps trade in more orthodox markets like LTC/BTC if you'll had them as well).

From new coins I mined recently I think these may be worthy adding to the exchange:
Offerings - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294383.0 - Older, from September 2013, quite stable and popular
Klondike coin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=407705.0 - From 9th January, seems to be very popular and active
Panda - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=399127.0 - From 4th January, not as good as the two above, but I think still worthy

Big brother is not watching you anymore. Big brother is telling you how to live.

CoinMarket.io will be adding new coins when we have done enough testing.
From time to time we will be opening public polls to vote on the next coin - this will be announced in this thread.

edit: kudrya: EAC/BTC will be added soon, aswell as KDC/BTC.

Can you be any more specific about a timeframe for "soon" on KDC? (this is bigger news to me since EAC/BTC markets already exist)
